BUILDING CONFIDENCE, RESILIENCE AND COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP IN BELLBOWRIE, MOGGILL & PULLENVALE

Rhee Tae Kwon-Do Moggill Branch invites local families to join us and grow stronger in body, mind and character.

For 20 years, Rhee Tae Kwon-Do Moggill Branch, one of the Brisbane Region’s largest branches, has proudly supported students and families connected with Moggill and Pullenvale State Schools, as well as members of the wider Bellbowrie, Moggill and Pullenvale community. More than instructing self-defence, Moggill Branch provides a positive and encouraging environment where students learn confidence, discipline, focus and resilience, qualities that help them achieve at school, at work and in everyday life.

Today we celebrate two success stories.

We would like to introduce our community members to Junior Black Belt Aran, who has transferred to Moggill branch. His recent promotion reflects the dedication, training and instruction he received through Rhee Tae Kwon-Do's Fig Tree Pocket Branch. Aran and his family are excited to see him continue developing as an instructor and role model who can help guide others in Moggill Branch and our local communities.

Moggill Branch proudly congratulates its newest Assistant Branch Instructor, Bu Sabum Kaitlyn, on her promotion to this important leadership role and her acceptance into the Moggill SES.

Bu Sabum Kaitlyn’s journey shows what commitment, encouragement and community service can achieve. Though the years her hard work led to her promoting to Junior Black Belt, being invited onto the prestigious Brisbane Region Demonstration Team, developing her skills as a Junior Instructor, and 12 months ago promoting to Senior Instructor.

Having recently completed school, Bu Sabum Kaitlyn is considering a future career focused on helping others, which may include joining the QPS. In the meantime, her involvement with the SES will help her build practical skills, confidence and experience so she can continue serving others now and into the future. We look forward to her future both in and out of Moggill Branch.

Rhee Tae Kwon-Do would like to thank David Ember and the team at Moggill Marathon for allowing us to be part of the celebration of your 5th anniversary.

Congratulations to everyone who participated, whether as a runner, volunteer, or organiser.

A massive shout out to the 18 registered members of Team Rhee Tae Kwon-Do who took on their own challenges. You did yourselves and our team proud.

A special shout out to Aroshi, a Brown Belt student, who completed the half marathon in just over 2 hours and 30 minutes. This is another wonderful accomplishment in her journey, with her next milestone being her grading to Black Belt.

Thank you to the many people who visited me at our stand. The five hours I spent there went by so quickly because of the fun we had while you were trying to break our boards.

What a beautiful Sunday morning.

No better way to start the day @ 5am than getting ready to support and participate in the 5th Anniversary of the Moggill Marathon.

This is our 3rd year of being involved and in addition to having our largest number of runners in the 5km event we have one of our brown belts aiming to finish the half marathon in under 2 hours.

We also have some of our younger students participating in the 2 km run.

Rhee Tae Kwon-Do wishes all those participating the very best.

Looking for something to do then come and and support those running or come by and visit our stand.

My journey in Rhee Tae Kwon-Do is the result of photocopying World Master Chong Chul Rhee and the senior Instructors of our great art.

The success of Moggill Branch is due to my absolutely amazing team of volunteer black belts, my dedicated & hard-working students and the most supportive bunch of parents any instructor could ask for.

Our parents bring their kids to class, never say no when asked to get involved in an activity in class, offer their assistance when a weather event hits the community, take their time to help out with community events and in many cases are future students of Rhee Tae Kwon-Do.

There is no way Moggill Branch could grow a safer community and help so many to change their lives for the better without any of these people.

Before our classes come to a close for the year on December 19, I would like to formally thank my Instructors, students and their parents for their time, efforts and commitment to Rhee Tae Kwon-Do all of which has resulted in my upgrade to 3Rd Dan Instructor.

2025 was another outstanding year for Moggill Branch with a Junior Black Belt Promotion, a Senior Black Belt Promotion, my promotion and plenty of upgrades for our students.

I look forward to opening the doors to class on Monday 19 January 2026 and to helping others achieve their goal of becoming a Black Belt and watching our current and future students upgrade and take on the new challenges that come with these.
