Pole has taught Miss Lady Pole Warrior to trust herself, embrace who she is and take off her mask.

She is doing SHINE to show inner strength, to remind others they are loved, and that people want to see others for who they really are.

“My goal in my SHINE routine was to show what it’s like coming out from behind a mask with both fear and beauty. As well as prove to the negative thoughts I could do it. Now I am lucky to take it to the stage and show everyone there is beauty behind your mask”.

Isla has been on a comp streak this year and AERIALS SHINE will put her back in her happy place.

“In this routine I am hoping to take everyone on my journey on the catwalk with a glamorous routine that brings the fierce attitude of the fashion industry to life. This performance proves that the stage is the ultimate runway.

Knowing that I have a performance coming up is one of the easiest ways to snap me out of internal numbness whenever my mind decided to choose violence, so it’s definitely a huge comfort for me.”

We love seeing Isla in her element and cannot wait to see the expression poured into this one!

Caity had one goal this year - to compete!

“Training through chronic injuries has been a journey and a half. I competed in calisthenics for almost 15 years but stopped to finish uni and wanted an outlet to move my body and feel more connected to myself.”

Representing Eltham, her SHINE routine is about the hurt, anger and confusion you feel after finding out your ex is with someone else.

Emily’s SHINE routine was created with her bestie, in an hour, with a tape measure crying of laughter.

“I am doing this show for the audience. I want to hear the laughter, shock, slight concern, but overall joy in watching the mess I’ve created.”
