We hope everyone is ready for a big Spring season of basketball at MNJBA!
We know footy and netball are still in full swing but with the season proposed to start August 17th please be organised and
*submit your form early
*gives you input to preferred playing night (N/A to primary age groups)
*guaranteeing yourself a spot on a team
*and help the committee with planning!

26/27 Rep season EOI.
Due to school holidays & committee unavailable during this time, Expression of Interest Forms will remain open until 8pm Next Friday July 17th. Please ensure you have submitted your form to be eligible for try-outs. Age groups with insufficient numbers will not proceed to tryouts. Parents will be notified with further information via email.

A team of Mirboo North & Leongatha girls took to the court in the Under 14 girls comp at the NAIDOC tournament. They had a fantastic two days making it through to the Grandfinal. Unfortunately falling short by 1 point in an absolute nail biter that could have gone either way in the dying seconds.
Well done to Georgie Schaeche on taking out the Sportsman award from the grand final and was top goal scorer in under 14 girls division.

What a jam packed couple of days at the NAIDOC basketball tournament!!
Lots of sausages 🙊 free merch, face painting & basketball with mates!!
The improvement from game 1 to game 4 from our Under 10 & 12 boys made all the parents proud. A great opportunity for kids to experience close to home. Thanks to all who helped coach & parents for being part of the craziness and letting the kids participate.

Our Term 2 Aussie Hoops program was a ripper!! 14 basketball superstars tore up the court each week!!! Keep a look out for Term 3 program dates coming out soon 👀!

EOI are now open for MNJBA to play the upcoming 26/27 Representative basketball season.
Unfortunately, with lower than required female club numbers, committee are offering EOI to MALE players only.
If you have a female child or male (outside the age groups on offer) interested in pursuing representative basketball, please email the club so we can assist with guidance to another suitable association.

Age groups on offer this 26/27 season are:
Under 14 - born 2014/2015
Under 16 - born 2012/2013
Under 19 - born 2009/2010/2011

* This is an EOI. Age groups will NOT go ahead with insufficient responses.
*Try outs if required will be held mid-late July.
*Under 14 will only play a selection of local tournaments offering a C Grade as a starting point.
*Under 16/19 WILL incur training travel some weeks this season (eg: Churchill Stadium)

Representative basketball comes with financial costs and commitment. Please consider before submitting your interest.

EOI's close June 30th, 2026. Parents will be notified of outcome with Try outs to commence mid-late July if required. For further questions please email MNJBA on [email protected]
