Pilot Declared Goal (PDG) is a precision task where the pilot selects their own target destination before takeoff. They must accurately read wind speeds and directions to navigate and drop a physical or GPS marker as close to the target as possible. 🎈

A "Judge Declared Goal" (JDG) is a standard competition task in hot air ballooning where the Event Director designates a specific target on the ground or in the air. All pilots launch from a common area and attempt to drop a marker as close to that exact target as possible. 🎯 🎈
