With repairs to the club finished we were finally able to get back on the boards on Monday night and we kicked off season 2 with our season 1 presentation. On the 'dark side' we only had one player step up a grade with Ollie moving up to yellow. Ollie has made fantastic progress this year and we're all looking forward to seeing how far he can go!

Marie's juniors had their presentation as well with Patrick coming out on top closely followed by Charlie (Robbo). In the chasing pack Violet managed to snag third place. Last but not least Patrick officially became 'one of us' and was awarded his JDC shirt after completing two full seasons.

A great start to the season despite a forced absence. Thanks to all the juniors, parents and coaches who make this academy as rewarding as it is to run! See you all on Monday!

Very happy to say that our academy will be back up and running on Monday night at our usual time of 6pm. A big thanks to everyone on the SDA committee who worked hard to get the club reopened.

We'll start the night off with a quick presentation and then we'll get into playing some darts!

Unfortunately I've been informed that we still won't be able to run the academy on Monday night due to repairs taking place. We're all hopeful we'll be able to return on Monday 16th. Will keep you updated as we know more.

Five weeks in and we're looking strong for 2026!

Personal bests are being broken week after week and now school holidays have come to an end we are back to full strength. A big shout out to Marie and Rob who have stepped in to fill the void left by Joe and George as coaches. The standout performer on the 'darkside' has been Ollie who smashed his personal best on Monday night. Maries Premier League is also going strong with Robbo currently leading the pack.

We've also welcomed along quite a few new members for 2026 and are always on the lookout for more. Just wanted to keep everyone up to date with what is happening tomorrow night with regards to the junior academy.

Due to the extreme temperatures we will only be opening to allow juniors to come in and do their routines then head home. There are a few juniors who need to do there routine so they can get a their medallion at the end of the season and we don't want to see them miss out.

What this means is that we are cancelling the night for all juniors on Marie's side of the room while allowing the juniors on Scott's side of the room to get their routine done quickly and then get home out of the heat!

There will be free cold water available tomorrow night and there will be no charge for anyone doing their routine. If you are concerned at all please stay home and stay cool.

Happy New Year!

I hope you have all had a great Christmas and New Year. I know I haven't been the best at updating this page recently but I can assure you that the Sunraysia Junior Darts Academy is still going strong! This year will see some changes at the academy with academy co-founder, coach and legend, Joe Clarke, taking a break from darts for a bit. We are incredibly grateful for everything Joe has done for this academy and it's members and we wish Joe all the best. We hope to see him back sooner rather than later!

However, the show must go on and we are back into it on Monday 5th January at 6pm along with our under 25s at 730pm. So come along, bring a friend and lets throw some darts! I have added some photos from the end of season presentation last year, it's incredible to see how much this club has grown in a little over two years.

Just wanted to say a massive congratulations to Cameron who made the Darts SA state side over the weekend. Widely recognised as our most improved juniors this year it's great to see his hard work pay off as he follows in his brother's footsteps.

A big shout out to AJ who also made the trip down to Adelaide but unfortunately didn't make it this time round. As one of the younger juniors there he will definitely get more opportunities!

Monday saw the return of our academy after a two week break with another presentation. Joes Junior Premier League continues to go from strength to strength with Lilly coming out on top. Johnno came in a close second place with Destin again in the winners circle with a third place finish. Huge thanks to Joe and everything he does for our juniors, the academy wouldn't be where it is now with him!

With our JDC Juniors we only had one mover this time round with Alexander moving up one grade and picking up his purple ribbon. I was told that Alexander nearly didn't come along on Monday so it was great to have him there and recieve a well deserved ribbon for his efforts over the previous season!

Jezza has done it! Out first ever black ribbon, two and a half years in the making. This is Jeremys last year as a junior and his goal for the year was to reach black. A great effort and well deserved! Our newest JDC member Ollie picked up his white ribbon, the first step in his JDC career while Nathaniel made the jump from white to purple. Cameron continued his journey as our most improved junior this year making the leap to green.

Last night we also celebrated the end of Joe's Junior Premier League with Charlie picking up his first place trophy at only 7 years old (proud dad moment!). In second place was Mr Consistant, Johno with Lilly in third after a late surge up the table. Cruz got the coaches award for the season with a perfect attendance record, a great attitude and a 4th place finish on the ladder.

After presentation we finished off the night on our scolia board with a very tense game of killer! A great system that links seemlessly with godartspro, it's like having an extra coach every week!

I want to finish by saying a massive thank you to all our coaches and mentors who give up their free time every week to come in and make our academy what it is today. We also have some great parents who are happy to get stuck in and help out, thanks to all of you! Last but certainly not least a huge thank you to all our academy members. You're all a pleasure to coach, have the best attitudes and make Monday nights the fun night it should be. We're always on the look out for new members so if you know anyone under 18 and wanting to try something different do not hesitate to get in touch!
