Aussie Title night 2 …. Emotions there were many 🙏🤞😊🥲😳👏🥺😡😤😬💩💨🔁😴🏠🔨🫶

Before we get to our story we just want to congratulate Dylan Barrow - our new A1 🏁👏🎉🥳🎊🌟.
A very well deserved win after a weekend of consistent performances …
We have loved sharing the journey from the early Junior days right through to panel slapping in Mods with you now…😊

Starting out of P7 in our 4th heat and final one for the weekend Will pedaled his way up to 4th for our first green to 🏁 👏
This gave us a fighting chance to stay in it by placing us off the back of B Main 1.
20 laps to pass 16 cars to get to a transfer spot for the A main.🤞
Was all looking good with 5 cars passed in 3 laps when (yep you guessed it 🤦‍♀️) bang/crash left front of car ripped out and off to the in field we go 😕 reunited with our besties from the weekend -
Car had great speed but just wasn’t to be our weekend 😬

Thanks to our amazing pit crew that stood up each and every time … you showed the true meaning of a Speedway family .. 1500kms away from home and we still had support all weekend.

Thanks also to the for sharing the weekends adventures , we rode the highs and lows for each other and cheered loud and proud for those that made it through 👏👏

Well done to Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway, , and for a great event.

Homeward bound now to recoup and to try to find the passion again that keeps us coming back for these events .. even when the last was one to forget 😬😜🫶

Is it home time yet ?
Night 1 was one to forget and an experience that makes us question why and what universe we upset 😕
From getting fed in to out-of-the-packet component failure the night had it all.
But in true Aussie fashion we get up with the sun and start again … are we crazy ? Yep !!!

Huge thanks to those that jumped in helped out all night long … Brad Rooey Mckendrick, Todd Russell, Scott Bates, Tanya Clothier, Megan Clothier and Alex Clothier .. without you there never would have been a hope of making it back on track.

Here’s hoping night 2 is a little kinder cause that 1500km trip home is already going to be a long one 😬

For this Easter we decided to take a little road trip up the highway to Toowoomba for the 25/26 Modified Sedan Australian title. 🇦🇺 🚎
Had a few practice laps around the famous T-Bar track today and ended up 19th fastest for our 2nd race meet of the season. 🏎️
2 more days of racing fun to come.

After event cancellations and challenges aligning schedules our first race for the year was at for the 25/26 SA Modified Sedans title. 🏎️
3 heats and replacement of a few bent bars later we started 11th in the final.
We moved forward and managed to finish in 8th. 🏁🏁

Thanks to those in our Speedway family that jumped in to assist with the repairs when time was limited 👏👏

Had the best crew and cheer squad with the joining us at the track 🫶

Time to wash off the mud and prep for our next event, the big dance of the year being the 25/26 Aussie title in Toowoomba over Easter.

Well here we are at for the 25/26 SA Modified Title.
First race of the season for after race cancellations and the challenge of an interstate driver 😜

In the year we went green, it 'shore' meant we were seen 😜.
We learnt from the highs and the lows, lessons that only speedway can bestow.
Wheel time is key, for experience, you see ! 🛞

Fans, friends, and foes all joined in the fun and we hope there are many more years to come.
Thanks to all who supported us, but SFM’s season 24/25 has raced its final run .

Sponsors help to drive our dreams, they are key, for success, indeed !
Without their “green” our journey would be quite lean.
Our village achieves great things as a team. 👏😘

At the final dinner for the year, the 60th anniversary was cheered. 🎉
Sixty years of speed and pride, where engines roar and racers ride.
Well done Timmis Speedway, we toast the past-and whats to be, a legacy built and long to be.

Will raced hard, with grit and speed, awarded Most Improved for all he achieved. 🏆
Surprised and proud to win this award and hopefully there are will be more to come, as this journey has only just begun.

Season’s end, the year done, Yet soon, another race begun! Dust will fly, time will flow, But passion’s fire will always glow! 🏁 💚💚

2024/2025 Modified Sedans Victorian title wrap up …. 🏁🏁
Another interesting night of “fun” and learning for both the driver and crew.
Results over the 3 heats:
Heat 1C: Started 4th, finished 3rd
Heat 2C: Started 8th, DNF (see video below)
Heat 3C: DNS - still finishing repairs from prior heat.

With these results we still managed to make the B Main and started out of P1… finishing in P1 👏
Yep, it was that type of night for many 😬

This resulted in starting 17th in the A Main and we knew it was going to be a matter of staying out of trouble and just keeping the car moving forward… and Will did, finishing in 6th place just off the podium.
Considering the challenges up to this point we couldn’t be unhappy.

Congratulations to the new Vic1 Tristan Mcgraw and all the other place getters including our fellow driver Wade McCarthy who made the podium again after doing so at the Oz title last week. 🎉👏🎉👏🎉

There are many people to thank from yesterday including Fiona Hush for getting Will to the track and , Robert Tinworth, Jake the Snake Racing for dropping Will back to the airport and being a great pit crew (including Shore 🧽🧼) when the pressure was on. 🫶🫶🫶

Huge thanks to our Speedway village your support is unmeasurable. 🫶 🙏

We are here at Rushworth Speedway ready for the Speedway Sedans Victoria Modified Sedan title with no rain in sight 🙏.

Unfortunately due to a technical hiccup there is no live streaming tonight so we will attempt to go live or at least record and post later.

We have 3 heats and then finals before the new V1 is crowned.
