YEARS OF SERVICE AWARD |
Congratulations to Yarra Glen Football Netball Club's Lesa Moate, who was presented with a Years of Service Award at the Community Awards Night on Monday night for an incredible 45+ years of service to the club!
"For more than 45 years, Lesa has been the heart and soul of our club. Her commitment, dedication and selfless service have touched every aspect of the organisation and have had a lasting impact on generations of players, members, families and volunteers.
Lesa has served as a committee member for more than 40 years, helping guide the club through decades of growth, change and success. Her knowledge, experience and unwavering commitment have made her an invaluable leader and trusted voice within the club. In recognition of her outstanding contribution, Lesa was deservedly awarded Life Membership, a reflection of the immense respect she has earned from the Yarra Glen community.
For more than 25 years, Lesa has and continues to manage the club canteen, ensuring players, volunteers and supporters are fed and looked after every week.
Her contribution extends even further as the chef behind the club’s popular Thursday night meals, where she brings people together and helps create the welcoming family atmosphere that defines Yarra Glen Football Netball Club.
Even today, Lesa continues to serve wherever she is needed. She is the club’s current cleaner, ensuring our facilities are maintained to a high standard, often working behind the scenes without recognition.
She spends countless hours running errands, purchasing stock and supplies, sourcing equipment and attending to the countless small tasks that keep a community club functioning."
