Hi All,

We are finally putting out EOI for the tournament. Sorry for the delay. There was some issues from an insurance standpoint. However, these have now been rectified.

Due to these delays your input and confirmation will be needed as soon as possible.

If we don’t get the information in quickly we may have to hold off from this comp for one year.

As always FarNo is committed to fielding a team in all age groups.
12s, 14s, 16s, 18s and opens.

With our 18s and opens returning as defending champs.

Although there has been delays out of control we have been diligently working in the background to ensure we put our best foot forward.

We have pre booked 12-15 rooms at the usual Wodonga caravan park.
I will be calling key people to see and hear feedback and suggestions.

My first Yass in 15 years that I couldn’t play in due to being injured! Heartbreaking to end a tradition based on showing up for the family.
To go to an event for 15 years and never miss out on playing! Devastating!

For those who know me, dont be shy to leave a message on this post about how badly you know I wouldve been sitting on the sidelines. Knowing how bad I must be, not to play at Yass and to be confined to a wheel chair device.

But my aroha and mana was blessed with watching all our FarNo members run around and take part!

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again,

Nothing compares to FarNo Yass KO. 2026 was no exception.
Can’t explain it because it’s something you need to experience for yourself. Out of Our 2 major annual events. Both are amazing but Yass is for everyone.
We’ve been going to Yass for a very long time. Held the same spot for that length too.
In days of old up to 110 teams would register, this year around 45.
So it just goes to show how busy we were in the past.

What a pleasure it was to see my children who were once on lookers take a more centre staged role. The first Yass I haven’t played in myself since we started coming over 14 years ago.

The future is looking bright for our FarNo members. New faces, old faces. Leadership busting from our foundation, all over the weekend ran smoothly. With little to no curve balls.

Next year we go again.

Until then we work towards the Albury 9s female rugby league carnival where the might of FarNo will defend their u18s and opens women’s championship titles.

Where we will enter all ages again.
U12, 14, 16, 18 and opens women’s

Then back to Yass again next year and hopefully away more of our talent to come join us there too
