Today we held our QLD AFTK Seminar in Brisbane, with members from a number of clubs coming together for a fantastic day of training, learning and connection!

A big thank you to Sensei Peter Zarb (Karate Community), Sensei Cheyne McMahon (Australian Karate Academy - Salisbury), and Sensei Mark Slingo (Kensuikan) for sharing their knowledge and delivering excellent Karate and Kobudo sessions.

We also extend our thanks to Reece Cummings from (Zen Creative Solutions) for facilitating our business breakfast and sharing valuable insights into martial arts branding and marketing.

A great day of learning, training, networking and strengthening connections across our martial arts community. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the day a success!

Our 2nd AFTK New Zealand Seminar in Auckland was a great success! Presenters and sensei(s) Derek English, Bruce Willis, and Sean Hayden delivered great sessions covering karate and kobudo (as well as some bokumite!). Great enthusiasm from all participants, and we look forward to more events in the future.

Korumburra Gasshuku and Yudansha grading June 19-21.

We had the pleasure of bringing Derek sensei from NZ to help assess, instruct and award black belt grades at a weekend seminar in Gippsland.
Enjoying Derek's humour, open collaboration close range GojuRyu applications and instruction delivers a new appreciation of self-defence karate mechanics and kata.

Father and son Leo & Tom Sauaia achieving shodan together was a highlight after some nine years of training, beginning in Dunedin and improving their skills here for the last few years.
We are excited to see them continue their martial arts journey beyond black belt including the addition and extension of learning Shimbukan ryukyu kobudo.

Mazlinah achieving nidan in karate with us after gaining shodan with Mike Dombrovski and Derek sensei also in NZ. Maz now preparing for shodan in kobudo and on the path to sandan in karate.

Ben achieved Rokudan and awarded Shihan Menkyo. Well-deserved after demonstrating his instructor skills, technique and dedicated GojuRyu training dating back the 1970's.
Ben is also preparing for Sandan and Shidoin in kobudo.

Ralph awarded Renshi as recognition of his superb understanding of GojuRyu mechanics and instruction over decades.

Rick gratefully awarded Kyoshi.

Chris joined us from Sydney, thoroughly enjoying the training, like minded training partners and even surviving the wintry conditions. Heated hall a necessity...

Mate always great company, before, during and after training in our close knit karate and kobudo family.

Congratulations to all and sincere thanks yet again to Ralph sensei for hosting us at his fabulous farm.

The pre-training prep hunting for truffles was definitely a highlight!
