💛YELLOW BELT💛 June Grading

Our June Yellow belt grading was smaller than usual, not just in numbers but also in the size of the students. Many of them graduated from the Micro Ninja classes just months ago.

These tiny warriors toughed it out with determination and poise for 2 hours on grading day, without sulking or giving up. When we thought we may have pushed them too far, they showed us they had energy to spare by skipping off the mat, giggling and chatty.

On the mat, they're unwavering in the face of close scrutiny and pressure tests. They displayed a clear understanding of the concepts covered in class, gave their best, and all shone brightly. They were fearless.

We look at these little faces with great pride because if this is what they are capable of now, imagine what the future holds! We see future leaders at Martial Journey, and very possibly future leaders in the world 🌟

Sensei has been overseas enjoying the sun for a week, while classes continued without a glitch. He's grateful for his amazing team who took on the responsibilities like ducks in water 🤗💖 How do you think they performed?

Defence against chokes is one of the skills we cover during Safety Weeks.

The focus of this Safety Week was bully-proofing. While we'd all like to think it's only an issue for younger children, it's unfortunately just as important for our senior students.

What does bullying look like when you're older? It can be:
-invasion of personal space and boundaries
-verbal, emotional or physical intimidation
-physical assault
-domestic violence

These are not easy topics to cover. We're grateful for our students' trust, and for their respect and empathy for each other 🙏
