Two numbers that will never truly tell the story of what this incredible group of girls has been through.
This season has been anything but easy. These girls have faced hurdle after hurdle, setback after setback, injuries, disappointments, and moments where it would have been so easy to doubt themselves. There were times when players didn't get 100 per cent time on the field playing, and plans had to change.
But they kept showing up.
They kept putting in the work.
They kept believing in each other.
They kept fighting.
Through every injury, every challenge, and every difficult moment, this team discovered something stronger than talent — they discovered resilience. They learned that when one teammate goes down, the others step up. When things don't go to plan, you dig deeper. And when you're tired, hurting, or disappointed, you find another reason to keep going.
And then came the Grand Final.
90 minutes of determination, 20 mins of extra time of extra pain, and all up 100 minutes of heart. One goal. One incredible team effort.
And when that final whistle blew…
THEY WERE CHAMPIONS. 🏆💙
Not because the journey was easy.
Not because everything went their way.
But because they refused to give up.
Every training session, every injury, every tear, every setback, and every moment of doubt led them to that one unforgettable moment — standing together with that trophy held high.
This isn't just a Grand Final win.
This is a reward for resilience.
A reward for believing.
A reward for sticking together.
A reward for never giving up.
To every girl who wore that jersey — you should be incredibly proud of yourselves. You have shown what teamwork, courage, and determination can achieve.
From the first kick of the season to the final whistle of the Grand Final…

This morning our 14/15’s WBS made it 2 from 2 for Sunbury, they didn’t just play… they took control with 2 early strikes that lit the fuse, and from there it was all composure, all class.
