Braydan’s career on four wheels began where so many Australian stories do. Braydan began his career in Junior Sedans, winning the Rookie of the Year Championship, and the Goulburn Speedway Track Championship. Braydan later transitioned into senior racing categories including Legend Cars and Midgets, winning Rookie of the Year and the NSW Silver Cup State Championships. In 2016, he made the leap to

Sprintcars where, alongside Midgets, he has spent most of his seat time. After racking up hundreds of wins and more than a few championships on home soil, Braydan set his sights on the dirt tracks in the USA. In 2018, Braydan raced 410 Non-Wing Sprintcars and Midgets in the US against some of the best racers in the world, with some Heat and B-Main wins as well as some top 5 finishes in the feature events. Including a charge from 16th to 3rd position at Montpelier Motor Speedway in the Midget, and a strong 5th position finish in his 410 Non-Wing Sprintcar debut at Gas City I69 Speedway. Braydan also holds the legacy of being the first Australian to race the dirt track at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the inaugural BC39 Midget race, honouring the late Bryan Clauson. The next step in the Braydan Willmington journey is Touring Car Racing (TCR) Australia, following in the footsteps of his father - Bathurst legend - Garry Willmington. The series is part of the hugely successful TCR formula adopted in more than 30 countries and regions worldwide. It delivers the thrill of door-to-door racing in market relevant cars that Australians are buying and driving every single day. In this case, it’s a race-winning Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR, developed by famed Italian auto racing team Romeo Ferraris and supplied by Australia’s very own Garry Rogers Motorsport. Lots was learnt from our weekend at Sandown!

The mighty Statewide Bearings Mustang didn’t miss a beat all day, Bri and I drove the absolute wheels off it for the full 3 hours, and the crew were incredible from start to finish.

We crossed the line with the outright win by almost a whole lap. Unfortunately, we were handed a post-race penalty for minimum drive time. Despite the penalty, we still took the A2 class win, and we couldn’t be happier with the weekend and the performance of the whole team.

Regardless of some of the comments online, we genuinely believe Australian Racing Drivers' Club is doing an amazing job organising this series and supporting the 6 Hour teams. We cannot thank them enough for everything they’re doing to make this series happen, and we’re already looking forward to redemption at Round 3 at Queensland Raceway, 19–20 September.

Dyno Joe from CMS has worked his magic once again! We’d be absolutely lost without him, and we’re incredibly grateful for all the hard work and late nights he’s put into getting our Statewide Bearings Bullitt Mustang ready to hit the track.

With our spare engine now swapped in for Round 2 at Sandown on August 7–8, it was over to Joe to work his magic on the dyno. He’s found us extra 20 horsepower over the engine we ran at Bathurst earlier this year!

A huge thank you, Joe, for everything you do. We can’t wait to put it to the test.

Round 1 didn’t quite go as expected.

and I had been showing great pace all weekend, qualifying P1 in class and P4 outright, putting ourselves in a strong position for the 4-hour race.

Unfortunately, the brand-new throttle body we had fitted decided it had other ideas and failed 4-laps into the race, bringing our weekend to an early end.

It’s incredibly frustrating to keep encountering mechanical issues that are completely out of our control, especially when we know we have the pace to fight for a strong result. Nonetheless, we’ll keep pushing forward and turn our focus to Round 2 at Sandown on August 7–9.

A massive thank you to Mum, Dad, Scott, Shelton, Nick, Matt, Brayden, Craig, Jamie, Hammo, Zara, Joe, Ben and Stu. We have a fantastic group of people around us and we’re incredibly appreciative for all of you.

A big thank you as well to for putting on a fantastic Round 1. It was an awesome event, and we thoroughly enjoyed being part of it.

The cat is out of the bag! We’re locked in for round 1 of the ARDC Production Car Series at Sydney Motorsport Park at the end of this month! 🤩

We’re excited to be part of this series and really looking forward to sharing the Statewide Bearings Mustang with Brianna again after seeing what she brought to the team at the Bathurst 6 Hour this year.

A family legacy meets a new challenge.

Braydan Willmington Motorsports enters the 2026 ARDC Australian Production Car Endurance Series with the Statewide Bearings Ford Mustang Bullitt.

Braydan Willmington brings experience across speedway and circuit racing, including TCR and S5000. Brianna Wilson brings six Bathurst 6 Hour starts, a class win and three National Karting titles.

With strong roots in production car racing through the Willmington family, this is a team built on experience.

Race Wrap – Bathurst 6 Hour 2026 🏁

It wasn’t quite our year again, but it was looking so promising…

Unfortunately, yesterday wasn’t our day. Brianna, John and I all did an awesome job, keeping the car inside the top 15 all race and even getting as high as 3rd outright at one point. In the final 3 hours, we started to experience an issue with the gearbox. The team made a massive effort to get it changed over, but unfortunately we weren’t able to get it done, resulting in a DNF.

Despite the disappointing finish, we’re incredibly proud of the improvements we’ve made this year and excited to see what we can do next year 💪🏻

We want to say a huge thank you to Scott from Apogee Motorsport for managing the team and having it run as smooth as possible! A massive thank you to our incredible crew: Mum, Dad, Shelton, Joe, Stu, Nick, Hammo, Paul, John, Matt, Jamie, Chris & Chris, Ben, Lesley, Craig, Michelle, Chase, Beck and Dean. And to Brianna and John for all their efforts on and off the track. It was awesome to share the car with you both!
