AKC Shakedown – Ipswich Kart Club 🏁

The final hit-out before Round 2 of the Australian Karting Championship at Ipswich Kart Club — and what a statement it was.

Both drivers came to play.

Brodie
Random grid? No problem. Started from the rear in Heat 1 and charged through to P3. From there, it was lights out:
P1 in Heat 2, P1 in Heat 3, and P1 in the Final.
Clinical. Fast. Untouchable.

Oskar (KA2)
Almost a carbon copy. From last to P3 in Heat 1, then straight to the front:
P1 in Heat 2, P1 in the Pre-Final, and P1 in the Final.

KA2 is the pinnacle of junior karting in Australia, and for Oskar to take his first win at Ipswich just one week out from AKC Round 2 is huge.
Driver was on. Kart was dialed. Ex*****on was elite.

Oskar (KA3)
Didn’t come easy—but that made it even more impressive.
Qualified P13 after a tough session, then suffered a DNF in Heat 2 after the rear bar was torn off.

From there, it was all fight:
P5 in Heat 3 → P9 to P4 in the Final.

Another lap or two and we were right in it. Massive drive under pressure.

The Statement 📊
Fastest laps in all three classes in the Finals.
Purple sectors all day.
Speed? Everywhere.

Momentum is building at exactly the right time.
Next stop: the Australian Karting Championship.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support and witness Oskar’s first KA2 win — it meant a lot.

Big thanks to James for stepping in and mechanicing for Oskar all day, allowing Brodie to focus on racing. The two worked seamlessly, and he fit straight into the team from the moment he arrived.

Brodie handled his own kart throughout the day as well, with support from Regan — a solid team effort all around.

Thanks Mum and Dad for being there, and to all the sponsors who continue to back the journey.

What a weekend at the Joseph Bianchini Memorial Cup in Griffith.

After wrapping up the Victorian State Titles in Albury, the team made the trip across to Griffith — and it did not disappoint.

The weekend kicked off Friday night with a random grid draw, setting the tone early.
Oskar pulled P3 in KA2 and just outside the top 10 in KA3.

From there… it was game on.

Saturday was huge — 4 heats across 2 classes, over 150 laps for Oskar against some of the best in the country, including state champions and AKC winners.

And all weekend — the pace was there.

➡️ Front row starts in both finals
➡️ Strong, consistent speed across both classes
➡️ P3 in KA2 & P3 in KA3

A bittersweet finish in the finals — got pushed back early, fought his way forward, and was right on the back of the leader ready to make a move… only for a lap kart to get between them and take away a real shot at the win.

$2,500 on the line — yeah, that would’ve been nice… but that’s not what this weekend was about.

This was real racing.

No protests all weekend.
Clean, respectful driving.
A proper family atmosphere.

Friday night said it all — pasta, pizza, music, a few drinks, and everyone enjoying being at the track together.

That’s what we’re here for.

Not the blue plate.
Not the green plate.
The memories.

Massive respect to everyone who made the trip — especially from interstate. They support our events, so we show up for theirs.

And this one means more than most.

The inaugural Joseph Bianchini Junior Memorial Cup — a special event for a special young bloke, and someone Oskar was proud to call a mate.

To walk away with podiums in both classes here… that means something.

We’ll be back every year to support it.

Bigger and better next year and last but not least thanks to for having both kart on rails all weekend and Dad for all the support over the weekend and getting us home safe

AKC Round 1 – Coffs Harbour 🇦🇺

What a way to kick off the 2026 Australian Kart Championship.

We rolled in Thursday for practice, into time practice Friday, and qualified P18 to start the weekend. Not where we wanted to be, but we knew we had more in it.

Through the heats, we made solid progress, moving forward in both races and finishing just outside the top 10.

Started P15 in the pre-final → finished P12.
With drop-downs shaking things up, we lined up P15 for the final.

Got pushed back early to P18… but this kid dug deep.

Charged back through the field to finish P8, setting purple laps along the way and holding the fastest lap of the weekend — the only driver in the 47’s 🔥

Massive effort.

This was also Oskar’s debut in KA2 at AKC level, with only two prior club rounds under his belt — a huge step up, and he absolutely delivered.

Big thanks to , , Peter Crossingham (The Whisperer) and everyone who supported us trackside and from afar.

We take the positives, learn from the rest…

Bring on Round 2. Let’s go. 💪

ROUND 1 – PUCKAPUNYAL 🔥🏁

What a way to kick off the series.

Round one at Puckapunyal — an AKC track (one of only five national tracks in the country), so any time you get laps here, you take it. With nationals on the radar, this was a massive weekend for development.

Running both KA2 & KA3 — two completely different driving styles — with only one class in between. That meant a six-minute turnaround before jumping straight back in. 34-degree heat, big day physically and mentally.

Qualifying Results:
▪️ KA3 – P5 out of 39
▪️ KA2 – P7 in a seriously competitive field

Being new to KA2 and adapting to that racing style, the progress was strong all weekend.

Final Results:
🏁 KA2 – 8th overall
🥈 KA3 – 2nd overall

In KA3, got pushed wide into the gravel off the start and dropped back to 8th… drove it back through to 2nd. Massive fightback drive.

Big few weeks of testing ahead as we build toward nationals.

Huge thanks to:
🔧 Troy Farley Engines
🔧 Brody Norris
🤝 Ben Hennock
🚿 Wash It Australia
And everyone who came out to support us trackside.

We’re building. 👊

🏆 Ipswich – Round 1 🏆

KA3
Qualifying: P40 / DNS
Heat 1: P40 → P17
Heat 2: P40 → P19
Heat 3: P16 → P9
Final: P16 → P7

KA2
Qualifying: P5
Heat 1: P5 → P5
Heat 2: P5 → P3
Heat 3: P4 → DNS
Final: P9 → DNF

Plenty of challenges across the weekend, but massive positives to take away. Big charge through the field in KA3 and strong pace shown in KA2 before the bad luck hit.

We take the lessons, reset, and come back stronger and smarter 💪🔥

Huge thanks to for keeping the kart fast and consistent all weekend 👊 & the turtle for pushing the kart to the grid 💪🏾

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

We’re proud to officially welcome Brody Norris to the team as Team Principal.

With Brody’s racing background at the highest level here in Australia — and internationally — and his superb results along the way, he now turns his full focus to mechanicing and guiding Oskar through this year’s national karting campaign.

Our first weekend together at Oakleigh Go-Karts – Top Guns was our first major race as a group, and to say I was impressed would be an understatement.
The way Brody works — clean, precise, calm — the way he explains things to Oskar, the way he looks after the equipment, and the way he presents himself has genuinely raised the bar.
It’s chalk and cheese compared to what we’ve done in the past.

Full credit where it’s due — Brody has already made a huge impact.

And this isn’t just a race team. We’re on the road together most weekends of the year. It’s a family.

So welcome to the family, Brody.
We reckon this year is going to be an absolute cracker. 💪🏁

🏁 Hennock Racing | What a year 🏁

2025 gave us plenty of ups and downs — the kind of season that tests you. We made some hard calls, including cutting loose the boat anchor, and from there things started to turn.

We finished the year on an absolute high with Oskar — winning a couple of national events and backing it up with 3rd at the Tasmanian State Titles. Massive effort and a huge confidence boost heading into what’s next.

Loclan made history at QR as the youngest ever to cross the line first in GT4s. A very technical safety car breach saw that result adjusted to P3, but make no mistake — he was first on the road that day. Still a podium, still a statement drive, and plenty to be proud of.

Two boys. A lot of lessons learned.
We’re proud of the resilience, the growth, and the hunger.

What a way to start 2026.
Bring it on. 💪🔥
