Giving back to the community 💚🖤🤍

On Monday night, Old Boys President Matt & wife Rach Newcombe, along with Old Boys Mick Finch, Jamie and Tracy Williams, Lyn Newcombe rolled up their sleeves and got cooking, preparing curried sausages, rice and mashed potato for those in our community who could use a warm meal.

On Tuesday, we delivered more than 60 freshly prepared meals to Maitland Region Community Support to be distributed to people in need.

This wasn’t done for recognition or a pat on the back. Giving back to our local community is something that has been sitting on the hearts of Matt and the Old Boys for some time, and we wanted to find a simple way we could make a difference.

The Maitland Pickers Old Boys & Supporters has always been about more than footy. It’s about mateship, community and looking after people when they need it most.

More than 60 meals, made with care, and hopefully a little bit of comfort for those receiving them. 💚🖤🤍

This Saturday we proudly welcome back our Old Boys, supporters and the entire Pickers family as we celebrate our John Newcombe Memorial Old Boys Day.

It's also our last home game of the 2026 season, and what a way to finish it as your 2026 Minor Premiers! 🏆💚

With a full day of action-packed footy, there's no better place to be this Saturday. Let's get as many Old Boys, past players, families and loyal supporters to the Sportsground to reconnect, share stories and cheer on the boys as they head towards the finals.

What a way to kick off Old Boys Day 2026 🇦🇺🏉

Anzac Weekend delivered in every sense, a huge turnout, a great atmosphere and an action-packed day of footy from start to finish. Even better, wins in all three grades made it a day to remember for everyone involved.

A massive congratulations to Sam Anderson on reaching 100 games, an incredible milestone and so well deserved 👏

To our Old Boys, players past and present, supporters, and families, thank you for making the day such a success.

Whether you played, supported from the sidelines, or grew up at the club, this one’s for you.

Bring the family, round up your mates, and help pack the sidelines as we get behind the Pickers.
