✨ WORKSHOP DAY WITH EMMA NEDOV & ASH KEEFE ✨

Paris Olympian Emma Nedov spent the day sharing her knowledge, experience and wisdom with our gymnasts and parents. From our juniors through to our seniors, Emma shared insights from her journey as an elite athlete, including being in elite gymnastics at a young age, navigating injuries and the importance of having a life outside of elite sport.

Our gymnasts were absolutely pumped to spend time with Emma, both 1:1 and in small groups, asking questions, hearing about her experiences and getting some personalised advice. There were plenty of excited faces when it came to photos and autographs too!

Our parent session gave families a special insight into the realities of elite gymnastics and the lessons Emma has learnt throughout her career.

We were also lucky to have Accredited Sports Dietitian Ash Keefe join us to talk all things nutrition, with a focus on the importance of pre- and post-training fuelling. The gymnasts then put Ash’s recommendations into practice with a DIY healthy lunch creation.

Maffra Gymnastics is incredibly grateful to Emma and Ash for giving their time and sharing their knowledge with our gymnasts, families and coaches. We are committed to continuing to provide these valuable learning and professional development opportunities for our members.

A big thank you to Leongatha Gymnastics Club and East gippsland gymnastics for joining us and making it such a great day!

🌟 Train with an Olympian! 🌟

Maffra Gymnastics is excited to welcome 2024 Australian Olympian Emma Nedov for an exclusive athlete development workshop on Sunday 23 August.

This is an incredible opportunity for WAG Level 2–7 gymnasts to learn from one of Australia's most accomplished artistic gymnasts while developing new skills, confidence and knowledge alongside our coaching team.

The day includes:
🤸 Gymnastics training with Emma Nedov
🥗 Sports nutrition session with Accredited Sports Dietitian Ash Keefe
🍽️ Interactive athlete lunch experience, where gymnasts put their nutrition knowledge into practice
💬 Parent Q&A session with Emma
📸 Group photo opportunity

Session Times
• Levels 2–4: 10:30 am – 1:30 pm
• Levels 5–7: 12:15 pm – 4:00 pm

Investment:
• Maffra Gymnastics Squad Members – $25
• External Club Squad Members – $40
(Both include a catered lunch for gymnasts.)

Parents are welcome to attend Emma's parent presentation and Q&A free of charge.

External clubs: To ensure the workshop runs safely and effectively, visiting clubs are required to provide their own accredited club coach for each session attended.

Places are strictly limited, and bookings are essential.
