🔴🟠 START OF A SET — KNOW THE FLOW 🟠🔴

Every set in Offside Tag starts the same way…
and understanding this is key to the game 👇

📍 THE FIRST PLAY OF EACH SET

👉 🔴 Attackers start on the RED line
👉 🟠 Defenders start on the ORANGE line

🔁 AFTER 5 PLAYS (OR TRY)...

👉 Possession changes over
👉 The defending team becomes the new attackers
👉 A new set begins from the Red Line

The field is split into 4 key zones — and where you’re tagged determines where play restarts 👇

📍 THE 4 ZONES

🔴 Red Zone
🟠 Orange Zone
🔵 Blue Zone
⚪ Try Zone

🔁 WHERE YOU RESTART FROM

👉 Tagged in 🔴 Red Zone
➡️ Restart from the Red Line

👉 Tagged in 🟠 Orange Zone
➡️ Restart from the Orange Line

👉 Tagged in 🔵 Blue Zone
➡️ Restart from the Blue Line

👉 Tagged in ⚪ Try Zone
➡️ Restart from the Blue Line

⚠️ IMPORTANT RULE — “INCOMPLETE”

If the ball is dropped (incomplete):

👉 Attack returns to their last starting line
👉 Not where the ball was dropped

This same rule applies if:
👉 Defenders intercept or steal the ball (and don’t score)

Here’s your quick guide 👇

📍 THE RESET

If attackers are tagged in the Red Zone:

👉 🔴 Attackers restart on the RED line
👉 🟠 Defenders reset on the ORANGE line

⏱️ 10-SECOND RULE

Both teams have 10 seconds to get set for the next play

⚠️ Be ready — the game moves fast

💡 WHY THIS MATTERS

👉 Keeps the game flowing
👉 Maintains structure and fairness
👉 Rewards teams who reset quickly

🔴🟠 RED LINE START — BUILD FROM DEEP 🟠🔴

Starting on the red line means one thing…
👉 you’ve got work to do 👀

📍 SET UP

🔴 Attackers start on the RED line
🟠 Defenders start on the ORANGE line

📏 Attackers are 30 metres from the try zone
🎯 You have 5 plays to score

🚀 STARTING THE PLAY

👉 Attackers can line up anywhere along the red line
👉 One of the 8 players starts the play by:
🏉 Throwing the ball above their head and catching it below head height

As soon as the ball is thrown…
everyone is live.

⚠️ KEY RULE

🚫 The ball carrier cannot move forward until they pass the ball

👉 All other players (attack & defence) can move in any direction immediately

💡 WHY THIS MATTERS

👉 Encourages ball movement from the start
👉 Builds teamwork & support play
👉 Creates structured attacking phases

📍 THE RESET

If attackers are tagged in the Orange Zone:

👉 🟠 Attackers restart on the ORANGE line
👉 🔵 Defenders reset on the BLUE line
