Double duty this weekend!
Tonight Josh jumps back onboard the Tyler Bros Motorsport Wingless Sprint at Murray Bridge Speedway and then tomorrow morning we head to the Angas Go-Kart Club to race his 125 Light dirt kart. If you're in the area why not come out for a look?

2025 Angas Go-Kart Club Club Championships

Since turning 16 back in July Josh has moved up from racing a Yamaha KT engine to an Iame X30 125cc. Because of this he has had to start rear of field for his last three race meetings. Each week he has gained confidence with the higher speeds and characteristics of the engine. Last week he competed at the Angas Go-Kart Club for their 2025 Club Championships and had a great day, moving forward in every race. Even though he qualified 2nd for the final he still had to start rear of field. Despite this he was quickly able to move forward and by the end of lap 3 was in 2nd place which is where he finished.

Next week another new challenge begins!

Heat 2: Start 14, Finish 2
Heat 3: Start 12, Finish 3

Hey everyone, bit of a different post this one but some work has been going on behind the scenes, and we are proud to announce that Josh will be piloting the S14 Wingless Sprint for Tyler Bros Motorsport for the 2025/26 season! We are so excited and grateful to the Tyler brothers for the opportunity and can’t wait to see what this journey brings in the near future!

Loxton Kart Club KT Scramble - 18/5/25

Yesterday we headed up to Loxton for their KT Scramble day. Due to low numbers the scramble format was changed to a KT Open class, which was a combination of KT Light, KT Medium, KT Heavy and Statesman classes.

Josh found himself at the back of the field after lap 1 in heat 1 after having to avoid another kart spinning in front of him. He battled his way back from 7th to finish 4th. At the start of Heat 2 contact from another kart almost spun him out, but he somehow managed to keep the kart running and battled his way back from last to finish 4th. Solid drives in heats 3 & 4 resulted in wins in both races, which earned him pole for the final. Another great drive saw Josh win the final from green to chequer, also setting the fastest lap of the day across all classes.

Thanks to the Loxton Kart Club for a great day. Also thanks to the Reichstein family for lending us their fire pit on Saturday night so we didn't freeze to death!

Yesterday we headed to our home track, the Angas Go-Kart Club for their second meeting for the season. On what was a very warm and windy day, the track team did a fantastic job keeping the surface in top condition.

Josh showed some great speed with strong results against a very competitive field. We've definitely made some gains on a few of the quick guys, resulting in Josh setting the fastest lap in heat 3 and the final. We just need a bit of luck to go our way and Josh will soon be standing on the top step.

Heat 3: Josh started from 5th and had a good run going until he was driven over by another kart which knocked his left front tyre off of the rim. To Josh's credit he still managed to finish the race in 7th place on 3 wheels! Good news is that we seem to have the engine issue fixed.

And we're back! For our first race meeting of the 2025 season we've travelled to the Yp Dirt Kart Club. Josh is racing in a field of 10 KT Mediums. Heat 1 Josh started out of 8th and finished 5th. The rest of the results will be added to the comments of this post.

What a season!
The 2024 season didn't start off the best with Josh missing the first couple of months due to knee surgery. With a new Rival Chassis Co kart and his first full season out of Juniors, he finally got to have a run at our home track, Angas Go-Kart Club on March 24. This was a great start, finishing 2nd overall. Over the next 8 months we'd go on to compete at 22 race meetings at 7 different tracks. Out of the 22 meetings Josh competed at he finished on the podium 12 times.
