Wet winter night in Tassie and feel lucky we have enough undercover yards and stables for our small crew to get some relief 🌧️🌧️

I got home from work at 4.30 and everyone moved to their gates ready … Breezer the first of course!

18 minutes cut to 57 secs of stabling 6 …. They get supper at 915pm.

Avs had everything done ready water, hays, feeds I just had to walk the walk 🤣

I listened to this a few weeks ago and it was really a breath of fresh air as a coach.

I hope Melissa Duniam doesn’t mind me sharing it.

It’s so reflective of the equestrian coaching. Where sometimes, like all private sport coaching we see athletes/riders come and go.

…… sometimes I know it feels like we do the same thing over and over but it’s not a coach being lazy. It’s a coach saying we need to be better at this, horse needs to be better at this for us to reach your riding goals.

Often we see clients lose their heads at events because they can’t process without a coach there, but we can’t expect a coach to micro manage every clients action and step.

I’m sharing because it’s really good ‘food for thought’ are we/you doing enough with the advise/coaching your getting an are you rowing enough?

Thank you to Tasracing Off the Track team for this opportunity.

I wish I could have accepted the offer when the program was first rolled out, but I could not commit at the time . I’m really looking forward to being involved officially in horses life after racing.

I already work weekly with some great Tasmanian OTT combinations along with our own and look forward to being part of the bigger program 🐴

Residing in the beautiful Longford area, Claire is a much loved and respected coach.

As a coach, Claire likes to focus on getting to know the horse and rider. Focusing on individual strengths and weaknesses, but just as importantly supporting the journey that the combination are on. These journeys are personal with no time frame attached.

While Claire has a strong focus towards the discipline of showjumping, she draws her experience from all areas in not just jumping but showing, eventing, dressage and breeding, providing a holistic approach to all that train with her at Wentworth Equestrain.

Ava's rising 20 and Comets rising 15.

Nine years together and he still doesn't look too small 🤣. Sadly his little legs just aren’t for big jumps but his big heart still gives 100% to everything !

The unicorn's back in work along with his grandson Nebbie. It’s all about the Connie’s here at present getting them going for their next chapter ❤️

Winter I forget it’s always a time to welcome back riders that finally find time for them selves. Usually riders that still have that itch to keep riding and it’s a journey I love being part of.

I always say riding it bigger than the ribbons, it’s a passion shared and a personal journey. Riding is a skill that never leaves you . Often lessons this time of year are not about outcomes but more about being present in the moment.

Today was spent attending the Equestrian Tasmania coach update. A small crew but a fun day. Mossvale Farrier Services - Kirsten Johnson again shared her depth of knowledge and passion. Thank you to the Tasmanian Coaching Committee for facilitating these opportunities.

Home to prepare for rain. Please rain 🙏

When new riders come for lessons and have a very full mind …. The simple fact that they loaded their horse started that journey is huge 🙌
