Race Day Recap 🏁
Last night Lukey competed in Grafton Speedway Night of Destruction season finale, and what a bloody good way to wrap up our season.

Heat 1: P9 ➑️ P4 | Best Lap: 17.181
Heat 2: P2 ➑️ P3 | Best Lap: 17.296
Heat 3: P3 ➑️ P3 | Best Lap: N/A
Feature: P2 ➑️ P3 | Best Lap: 17.074

Congratulations to Tony Blanch and Graeme Holland for taking first and second place in the feature πŸ†

It was a great night of racing for Lukey. He fought hard to hold his place in the Junkyard Dog. He was consistent. He held his line. He just kept pushing. After a season that threw more than its fair share of challenges at us, finishing it off with 3rd place on the podium felt pretty special. You absolutely deserved this one and we're so bloody proud of you. πŸ”₯

We couldn't do any of this without our crew chief, Bretto. From building cars and solving problems to keeping the whole operation moving forward, he's the backbone of this team. The hours he puts in behind the scenes are impossible to measure, and this season simply wouldn't have happened without him.

And to top it all off, it was pretty special having Luke's mum Penny and step-daughter Claire there to soak it all in. Speedway is always better when it's shared with the people who matter most, and seeing Claire cheering from the sidelines while Penny celebrated alongside us made the night that little bit sweeter.

A special thank you to our sponsors β€”

Through every rain-out, breakdown, road trip, late-night repair, and race meeting, you've backed us all season long. Your support has helped turn a dream into a reality, and we're proud to carry your names on the car. We're incredibly grateful to have you as part of our MISFIT family.

A massive shout-out to Ray Eggins β€” one of the genuinely best humans in speedway. The amount of times Ray has stepped up to help us out over the years is impossible to count, and this weekend was no different when he bailed out a classic case of Last-Minute Lukeyβ„’ and sorted us out with methanol (he was sure it was looking like another rain-out)πŸ˜… Ray's always willing to lend a hand and always making speedway a better place to be. Top bloke

And another massive thank you to Shaq's Speedway Pics for capturing the action all night and all season long. Speedway memories disappear in a blur when you're living them, and we're grateful to have so many moments frozen in time because of your camera work. πŸ“ΈπŸ

And lastly to our speedway family β€” our friends, fellow competitors, crews, volunteers, officials, and supporters β€” thank you. Whether it's a helping hand in the pits, a message after a tough night, a cheer from the grandstands, or simply following along from home, you've always rallied behind us. Speedway is more than just racing; it's a community, and we're incredibly grateful to be part of it.

What a way to finish the 2025–26 season πŸ₯³

We're set up, we're ready, and now we're just waiting for the action to start πŸ”₯

Racing kicks off from 3pm, and while the drivers wait, our Mini MISFIT Claire is already hard at work β€” oiling the car, getting amongst it in the pits, and learning what race day is all about.
It's never too early to learn the ropes πŸ’ͺ🏼

The car is ready, the crew is packed, and we’re headed to Grafton for our 2025–26 season finale πŸ”₯🏁

One last hit out. One last run for Lukey in the Junkyard Dog. One massive night of racing ahead.

Thank you to the sponsors who made this season possible. Every lap, every nomination, every road trip, every repair, every last-minute fix β€” none of it happens without them and we are beyond grateful for their support πŸ’™
