Grovedale Little Athletics Grovedale Little Athletics Club 🏃‍♂️🖤💛 Welcome to the Grovedale Little Athletics Club.

The Club is one of nine clubs competing in the Geelong Little Athletics Centre competition. Membership is open to children from five to fifteen, with most members coming from the Grovedale, Waurn Ponds, Torquay, Jan Juc and Anglesea areas. All children compete for fun, fitness and enjoyment and are encouraged to participate in events in a positive manner, regardless of their athletic capability.

Jordan has broken a long-standing GLAC record, previously set at 59.24 on 12 December 1998 — a record that stood strong for over 27 years!

🌟What an amazing week of effort, courage, and consistency from our athletes.

We love celebrating the moments that make training and competition so special. Here are last week’s standout performers! ✨🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💥

Davie – 🌟 Davie delivered an incredible performance, smashing a huge 15cm PB in High Jump on her second‑to‑last jump! 💥 She unfortunately hurt herself on that jump and still had one attempt left, but her determination and courage shone through. 💪 An absolutely gutsy effort!

Parker – 🏅 Parker had a fantastic week across all his events. He showed consistency, strength and real all‑round talent. 🌈 An excellent effort from start to finish!

Darcy – 🔥 Darcy is the definition of reliability and heart. He shows up every week, gives 100%, and delivers steady, committed performances. 💛 His attitude and consistency make him a standout.

Please support us in supporting the Good Friday Appeal!

Geelong Little Athletics Centre (GLAC) are hoping to make a world of difference this year by contributing to the incredible work of the Good Friday Appeal—and we can only do it with your help.

Every donation, big or small, goes directly toward supporting the lifesaving care provided by The Royal Children’s Hospital. Many of our own members and local Geelong families have benefited from the Appeal’s impact, making this cause especially close to our hearts.

This year, $3 million is going directly toward regional projects, including some right here in the Barwon South West region—projects that support families in our own backyard.

One of the stories inspiring our fundraising is the journey of a Torquay family whose little boy, Tedi, defied the odds after being born at just 600 grams. His story is a powerful reminder of why this Appeal matters so much.

It’s been a busy few weeks and we have few awards to give out.

A massive congratulations to our amazing Grovedale athletes . Your effort, courage, and team spirit make our club proud every single week.

Laylah Panich – For always showing incredible sportsmanship and lifting up her teammates. Laylah, your encouragement and positivity inspire everyone around you. Thank you for being such a supportive and caring teammate.

Skylah Ellis – After a tough fall in the 100m a few weeks ago, Skylah showed true grit by getting back up, finishing her race. Your resilience is outstanding, Skylar - you’re a brilliant example for all our athletes.

Jordan Romanelli – Jordan gives 110% every single week and continues to push himself to new heights, breaking records along the way. Your determination and hard work are paying off, Jordan - keep chasing those goals!
