2025/26 SEASON WRAP 🏇💙

As the curtain falls on another racing season, it’s time to reflect on what has truly been the year of the placings. While the winner’s stall wasn’t as busy as we’d hoped, our horses turned up week after week, racing with heart and consistency. Every placing represented another step forward, another horse improving, and another reason to be excited about what’s ahead.

We’re incredibly excited about what lies ahead. A talented crop of young horses is ready to step up, while a few of our old stable stalwarts are still eager to carry the flag and fly the Holly Williams Racing colours with pride.

🏆 RIVALDO WINS THE WEAN PICNIC BRACELET! 🏆

What a way to bounce back!

After going down by the narrowest of margins on Holly Williams Racing Owners Day, Rivaldo turned the tables in spectacular fashion, storming from last to first to claim the Wean Picnic Bracelet.

It was an absolute peach of a ride from our incredible stable rider Sarah Curtis. Patient early, weaving through traffic with perfect timing before asking him to go, the pair exploded clear to win running away. It was one of those rides that reminds everyone just how talented Sarah really is.

We absolutely love taking these horses to the picnic meetings with Sarah in the saddle. She works tirelessly behind the scenes every single day, she’s a wonderful friend to our team, and she’s exceptional at what she does. Seeing her rewarded with another big win is something we’ll never get tired of.

Rivaldo is a very special horse to us, proudly raced by our great friends, the Gibbons and Reid families from Victoria. He’s been the model of consistency this preparation, taking his record to 1 win and 3 second placings from just 4 starts. He just keeps turning up and giving everything he has.

Unfortunately, with the Bligh Picnic races being abandoned earlier this month, it looks like Rivaldo will most likely miss a run in the Picnic Championships at Dubbo. It’s disappointing, but that’s racing.

Knowing this old boy though, we’re confident there’s plenty more success waiting for him before this preparation is over.

Congratulations to all of his owners, Sarah, and our amazing team. We’re incredibly proud of this special horse.

What an unforgettable weekend! 💙🏇

A huge thank you to every owner, family member and friend who joined us for the Holly Williams Racing Owners Day. Your support and passion make weekends like this so special.

From trivia night to race day and Saturday morning trackwork, it was fantastic to spend time with such an important part of our racing family.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get the fairy tale ending we hoped for. Our close friend Jamie Gibbons travelled from Melbourne to ride Rivaldo in the final race. After a huge effort, they were narrowly beaten by a short half head. Racing tests us, but reminds us why we love it. We’re incredibly proud of both horse and rider.

Thank you to the Tamworth Jockey Club for their support in making the weekend a success. Their professionalism and hospitality never go unnoticed, and we’re grateful to call Tamworth home.

A special thank you to our incredible team behind the scenes. Your hard work, dedication and attention to detail made the weekend possible.
