King’s Birthday weekend full of footy 🏉

A huge weekend doing what I love.

Saturday and Monday coaching the U15 FDJFL squad at the Vic Metro Interleague Carnival against Eastern and Yarra.

Also had the chance to watch some serious young talent on show through the AFL National Academy, including Australia U18 v All Stars, watching some of the best young female footballers in the country go head-to-head.

Then to finish it off, Vic Country v Vic Metro in the U18 AFL National Academy practice match.

A weekend full of coaching, learning, watching elite young talent and being around great people in the game.

Grateful and very blessed. 🏉

Proud to recognise and celebrate National Reconciliation Week 2026 and this year’s theme, “All in for Reconciliation.”

Football has a powerful way of bringing people together. Through football we have the opportunity to bring people together, celebrate First Nations culture, and create environments built on respect, inclusion and belonging.

Reconciliation is more than a week. It is about the actions we take, the conversations we have, and the example we set for the next generation.

Our Kicking & Game Sense Masterclasses over the April holidays were a great reminder that real improvement comes from focusing on the details.

It was awesome to work with athletes on their kicking technique through video analysis while also diving into the game itself — tackling, taking the tackle on, driving the legs, stoppage craft, forward craft, and learning how to create separation and space.

Thank you to everyone who came along with such a strong attitude to learn. The intent, focus and coachability shown across the sessions made them a pleasure to run.
