Before Home Affairs had a runner, we believed he had the right credentials to become one of Australia’s most exciting stallions. It was the same as when we identified Snitzel at the start of his stallion career - which resulted in us selecting and purchasing Champion Sprinter Redzel (Group 1 winner, 2 x The Everest winner and $16,444,000 in prizemoney), Hot Snitzel (Group 1 winner and winner of $1,334,850 in prizemoney) and Flying Snitzel (Group 2 winner and winner of $340,950 before selling for $410,000 as a broodmare).
We believed in Home Affairs so strongly, we put our money where our mouth was, purchasing three of his yearlings at the Magic Millions - including this outstanding filly out of Pretty Woman.
His first crop has now completed its two-year-old season, and the results have been extraordinary.
Home Affairs was crowned the Champion First Season Sire and the Leading Sire of 2YO's in Australia & New Zealand.
His first runners earned more prizemoney than the progeny of any previous first-season sire in Australian history, headlined by Golden Slipper winner Guest House.
That is an exceptional beginning - and as a son of champion sire I Am Invincible, there is every reason to believe his progeny will continue improving as three-year-olds!
