The last couple of red coats I'll shoot for a while 🤦

Unfortunately I've sustained a mid foot fracture (lisfranc) I'll be out of the paddocks for an extended period missing fallow rut and a fair slog of lambing.

A massive thanks to anyone who followed liked and shared my footage and posts.

A big thanks to for the recent colab.

Mark my words I'll be back stretching that long gun into the darkness in a few months time🇦🇺

Stay safe and keep that cheek welded 🥊.

Our time with the Slim H35

Over the past month we have been putting this small form factor super light weight thermal scope through its paces it's no secret our passion is hunting invasive European Red Foxes in Australia.

and are no secret to our hunting endeavours.

The light weight small form factor unit was paired with the little 17hmr and off we went doing what we do best taking foxes away from fragile farming and native ecosystems.

First impressions were simple.
Its unbelievable how far thermal tech has come!
This tiny scope weighing in at 500grams hiding a 640res sensor and impressively low NETD (thermal sensitivity).
2x base mag
A crisp amoled display
RAV (Recoil activated video) and audio recording .

There isn't all that many 640 res thermal scopes in Australia at this price point and it's certainly a contender for someone's first step into this world.

We took foxes and rabbits at varying distances with zero issue.
The unit holds an image together very well under zoom and we could have easily mounted it on our go to fox cal (22-250) and stretched it out further.

If you are in the market put this little gem into serious consideration 🫡

Old School vs New school tonight

The Slim H35 with a 17HMR
The Infiray Rico RL42 (gen 1) with a 22-250

6 adult foxes finding their ends tonight at varying distances under a range of conditions.

The Rico and the 22-250 took the long stuff
The H35 took care of the ones in close with ease sitting on the 17HMR.

Lambing is approaching for a number of my property owners and it's time to get on these things👍

A night in the dark with the Nocpix Slim H35.

A massive thanks to Ground Force International for sending this ripper little unit out with me for a ride !

Small form factor 640 res unit that really packs a punch all in a 500gram unit !

The little 17HMR pairs with this scope perfectly when they are in close the large field of view allowed me to get on them quick !
The Slim H35 holds an image together very well at distances well beyond what I'd be comfortable stretching the hot little HMR to.

4 big dog foxes and two vixens fell for various tricks including the trusty Bluetooth speaker and a few convincing kissy lips 💋 .

Another 5 making their way to the bullbar off an Angus cattle operation .
Rain slowed me down a touch but we won't complain!
All in beautiful nick for the time of year some cracking summer coats amongst them.
Franchi Horizon elite varmint chambered in 22-250
Old faithful Infiray RicoRL42
A combination calling and opportunistic shots all nice and close which is a welcome change 👍

I’ve voted Greens before.
And I didn’t do it lightly.

I believe in conservation. I believe in protecting wildlife, habitat, and sustainable land management. As a hunter, I don’t just align with conservation — I live it. Hunters are conservationists. We fund it, we enforce it on the ground, and we understand the food chain because we’re part of it, not spectators.

But I will never vote Greens again.

Their continual vilification and ostracisation of law-abiding fi****ms owners is beyond ignorant — it’s reckless. Fi****ms owners are not the problem. We are licensed, trained, regulated, and accountable. We play a vital role in pest control, conservation protection, and food security, especially in regional Australia.

The Greens love to talk about ecosystems while attacking the very people who actively manage invasive species, protect native wildlife, and put ethical, sustainable food on the table. That hypocrisy is staggering.

You cannot claim to care about conservation while demonising hunters.

You cannot claim to understand nature while ignoring how it actually works.

And you certainly cannot claim the moral high ground while pushing ideology over evidence.
Enough is enough.

You’ve lost my vote — permanently. The funny bit is, you don't realise how much in common you have with hunters.

Kicking off the count for 2026🥊
12 red terrors getting to know the franchi
A cooler night made for perfect thermal conditions with a good mix of stubble and pastures to run through a mates place and one of his neighbours with plenty of room between the two and the foxes being pretty casual going about their business made for a fun night 👍

CALL FOR SUPPORT – .22 AMMO DONATIONS NEEDED

Trellys has so far donated tens of thousands of .22 ammunition rounds to support farmers impacted by the fires, and we will continue to do so wherever possible. However, the scale of this disaster means significantly more support is now needed.

We’ve had many local farmers come into our stores to collect free .22 ammunition for stock destruction. These have been incredibly emotional moments, with tears shed over the heart breaking reality of having to destroy beloved stock. This is never an easy thing to face, and our thoughts are with every farmer affected.

If anyone in the area is in a position to help, we are urgently seeking donations of .22 ammunition. All donated ammo can be dropped into either Trellys store, and we will ensure it reaches the farmers and landholders affected.

📍 Drop-off locations:
Shepparton: 03 5821 6572
Bendigo: 0427 595 158

📞 Weekend support:
We will be on call over the weekend and reachable on 0488 409 789 for anyone needing assistance.

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you for standing with our farming community. 🤍

Big lambing operations
Big predator problems
It took me 2 hours to even get a look at one then the tide turned the moon set and she was on!
17 on the bar in a 3 hour window these things were coming from everywhere every stand I made and called lit the joint up.
22-250 Rico combo has been unbelievable.
