🏁 Rounds 6 & 7 — Ipswich City Dirt Karts | Race Wrap-Up

What a tale of two rounds! Rounds 6 and 7 delivered plenty of drama, determination, and some hard-earned results for Braxton.
Round 6 proved to be a tough day on the 4-stroke front, a broken crankshaft while leading Heat 1 ended the day early in that class, and was a costly setback. But Braxton dug deep and made it count where it mattered, closing out the day with a 2-stroke feature win. 🏆

Round 7 saw the tables turn in the best possible way. Braxton came back firing, taking the 4-stroke feature win and laying down a cracking lap of 31.9 seconds. The 2-stroke day had its moments too, a Heat 1 win before a fouled plug, a crash, and a lost side pod in the feature made for a character-building afternoon!

A special mention and heartfelt thank you to Grandad and Gary who stepped up as pit crew at short notice after dad had to leave, your support means the world to us. 🙏

🏁 Round 5 Results & Thank You! 🏁
With Round 6 just around the corner this Saturday, May 23rd, at the Ipswich City Dirt Karts, it’s time to look back at an incredibly special Round 5.

To say we are proud of Braxton would be an understatement. After suffering a knee injury at school soccer that left him on crutches just days before, his determination took over. There was absolutely no stopping him from getting into the driver's seat, especially since the race day was proudly sponsored by Formosa Racing.

This milestone meant the world to us. Long-time sponsors and mentors, Ange and Brett Formosa, have supported Brax since he was just a 6-year-old rookie back in 2017. To race on a day bearing their name was an honor, and Brax certainly gave them a show!

Round 4 at Ipswich City Dirt Karts — done and dusted.
A full update from Rounds 3 and 4 is coming soon, but for now, I just want to highlight something special — the respect, sportsmanship, and friendships these kids show every time they hit the track.
It wasn’t Brax’s day for feature wins, and there were definitely challenges, but the level of racing was nothing short of outstanding. A Junior 3 race separated by just one second after 10 flying laps says it all. Moments like that — and seeing competitors like Louie Preece and Brax sharing respect after another cracking KT100S race — are what make this sport so special.
Gordy Yarrow, Louie Preece, Lewis Heggie, Ryan and Lachy Ridge, along with the new additions to the class — you all put on a show that brings everyone to the fence. The future of this sport is in great hands.

Craziness Alert 🚨

This kid never ceases to amaze me.

On Saturday night at the Ipswich City Dirt Kart Club, Braxton lost his brakes during the formation lap of the 10-lap 2 Stroke feature—his brake pad completely fell out. From that moment on, he raced with no brakes at all.

Despite that, Braxton led from start to finish, holding off relentless pressure from Louie Preece, who stayed right on his bumper every lap without giving an inch. Speeds pushed beyond 100 km/h, and the racing between them was nothing short of exceptional.

To perform like that under normal circumstances is impressive—doing it without brakes is something else entirely.

Braxton Doyle, your talent is undeniable… and your fearlessness is on another level.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Braxton and BCD Racing.

Thank you to all of my sponsors for your incredible support throughout the 2025 racing season. Your belief in me and continued backing played a vital role in keeping me on the track during what proved to be a challenging but rewarding year.

Despite a turbulent season — including four blown motors across both 2-stroke and 4-stroke programs and ongoing clutch issues with the 4-stroke — we were proud to finish the season with two trophies:

It has been a big couple of months for Braxton Doyle Racing

* Round 6 of the Ipswich City Dirt Kart Club Championship

Formula 500 test drive finished 5 laps into the night due to mechanical issues. Brax was on an absolute high and although his night ended early he loved the experience. Huge thanks to Rahnee, Paul and Cassie from McNae Motorsport for allowing Brax to drive your awesome car. To all of the people who come to support Brax on the night and make him feel comfortable - The Formosa family who have been part of Braxtons life since he started at the Ipswich City Dirt Karts 7 years ago, Brax would not be where he is now without your support. Ewan Oliver for taking Brax under your wing and allowing him to join you guys at the sprintcar race days. Thanks to Alan Leeson for your guidance through helping Brax gain his speedway license and looking after him on the night. Brax is looking forward to his next opportunity to get behide the wheel of a formula 500.

Bob Gartside day was only a 4 heat day as the Braxton Doyle Racing team headed to Toowoomba Speedway to support Rahnee McNae and McNae Motorsport on Rahnee’s debut in her 360 sprintcar. Rahnee you did an awesome job.

Round 6 ICDK Championship

Tough day at the office in the 4 stroke with clutch issues and no speed, ended the day with a 2nd in the feature. Congratulations to #11 Lewis Heggie for the 4 stroke feature win, you were on fire all day mate. Pleasure watching you and Brax go head to head.

After a motor freshen up the 2 stroke was running hot throughout the day. Great racing with the KT100s group of 8 kids all going hard and fast. Great tight and close racing throughout the day, with Brax running 3rd for all 11 laps of the feature he snuck into second on the final corner for a 2nd in the feature. Just didn’t have the pace to catch #9 Harrison Willis great drive buddy and a great day for you with a feature win.
