Swifts Old Boys Social Golf Club was formed in Ipswich approximately 1979 by some retired footballers from the Swifts Rugby League Club The club plays fortnightly supporting local golf courses with a few games also played elsewhere in Southeast Queensland

🏆 ROUND TWO — CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 🏆

It’s Friday, and we’re only days away from the final round of the 2026 Club Championships this Sunday!

After Round 1, the battle is well and truly on, with some very tight scores across the grades.

A Grade: Daniel Heather leads the gross scores with an 84, followed closely by Tyron Davenport on 85. Luke Kemp carded 87, with Jamie Hilton and Darren Hodgson both on 88.

B Grade: Tye Johnson leads with an 86, followed by Heath Ramsay on 88 and Brian Dalzell on 91.

C Grade: Ian Johnson leads with a 95, with Neil Briggenshaw on 97 and Mark Sauer on 100.

One round down, one to go — and plenty of players are still in the mix. Sunday is shaping up to be a cracker!

🏆 Club Championships are here! 🏆

The wait is over – our Club Championships kick off next weekend.

Grades and handicaps have now been finalised, so have a look below and see where you and your mates are sitting.

Good luck to everyone playing. We hope everyone enjoys the next two games.

Play well, have fun, and remember… anything can happen over 18 holes.

A reminder that if you’re bringing your own private cart or just walking, please contact Dave.

All of Boonah’s carts have been booked, so if you can’t make it please also let Dave know as soon as possible.

Green fees for this game are $40.

We are now fully booked for golf carts for next Sunday’s game.

If you no longer require your cart, please let Dave know as soon as possible.

If you’re planning on attending with your own private cart or walking, please also let Dave know so we can confirm final numbers with the golf course.

This round marks the start of our Club Championship. Even if you haven’t qualified for the championship, we’d still love to see you there. You’re more than welcome to play, and we’ll still have our usual daily prizes up for grabs.

Please note that this week’s green fees are $40 per player.
