🏉 PLAYER POLL – Minjerribah NORTH STRADBROKE ISLAND TRAINING 🏝️

We’re looking at taking the Inala United teams to North Stradbroke Island this Saturday 29th for a training session, followed by a BBQ.

Nothing strenuous just a team run, some games and plenty of team bonding. A good opportunity for the boys to get together, have a yarn and enjoy the day swimming and fishing.

We need numbers ASAP so we can see if we can get a group discount on the 9:00am boat.

It would be great to have all our U14s and U16s in particular together for the day. It’ll be a good session, good team bonding and a chance for the boys to get away together before the carnival.

📣 INALA UNITED SUPPORTER GEAR UPDATE

Our Inala United supporter gear is on its way! The apparel company has advised that all gear should be ready approximately one week before the carnival, so we’re looking at around 3–4 weeks from now.

Once the gear is ready, there will be two options for collection:

👉 Option 1: Mob can go directly to the apparel company’s office to collect their gear. 1/69 Secam Street, Mansfield

👉 Option 2: We will organise a collection day at Inala, where everyone can come and pick up their gear. We’re most likely looking at doing this around our Presentation Day.

We’ll keep everyone updated and notify the community once we have the confirmed arrival date and collection arrangements.

Our first full training session is officially in the books, and it was great to see so many of our young people back out there, getting stuck in, having fun and building that Inala United spirit! 🙌🏾

The energy, effort and smiles were unreal. This is only the beginning! 💯

Thanks to all the U14 parents who made the effort to get the boys down this afternoon, and well done to the boys who put in the work for the little Bronco run. 💪🏽

A special deadly effort from Qaunie and his family getting Qaunie there from a long day to Keebra and back to Inala after he’d been up since 5am getting ready and travelling to school. That’s the type of commitment and support that doesn’t go unnoticed. Much respect to the family for making it happen. ✊🏾❤️

We’ve only got around 4 weeks until carnival, so we really need both players and parents onboard and committed to the standard expected—especially our local mob.

I can guarantee no Inala Aboriginal young fulla is putting in more school and club training hours than my 12/13-year-old son and his workload is carefully managed and well within what is appropriate for a young adolescent teenagers.

If anyone has concerns about the training workload or expectations, please come and yarn with me directly. That’s what communication is for. But also understand that the U14s boys, along with our other teenage teams, are being built to compete, so commitment, consistency and effort are going to be expected.

If that standard isn’t something you or your young fulla can commit to, then please have a think about whether representative U14s football with Inala United is the right fit.

We’re building something competitive and we need everyone pulling in the same direction.

Morning everyone 👋

Just a reminder that the U14 boys are having a training session/run-around and meet & greet this arvo from 4:30/5pm-ish at the Inala footy fields. Other teams are welcomed.

This is for all the young fullas in the Inala and surrounding areas who are keen to get down, have a run and get some momentum happening. The club season has finished for the majority of players, and most club teams don’t train on Mondays, so there really shouldn’t be any excuses.

For parents who are working and can’t get the kids there, I’ve attached the 102 bus timetable and highlighted the best after-school times for the boys to catch the bus from Inala Civic or Oxley Train Station. The bus stop is only around 200m from the Inala footy fields, so it’s an easy option for the young fullas to get there.

Let’s get the numbers up, get the boys running around together and start building some momentum. 💪🏽🏉
