Cadbury Marathon

Cadbury Marathon Run for chocolate in picturesque Tasmania! The 42nd Cadbury Marathon will be held in January, 2025.

The Cadbury Marathon will take place on Sunday 11 January 2026. Starting and finishing at the iconic Cadbury Chocolate Factory in Hobart, there are five distances to choose from:
Marathon (incorporating the Tasmanian Marathon Championships)
Half Marathon, 10 km, 5km and 1km for kids.

Mark your calendars! The 44th edition of the Cadbury Marathon will be held on Sunday January 3, 2027.

One of Australia's most loved running events is back, with distances for everyone; Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, 5km and our 1km for the kids. This includes our popular virtual races.

Thank you to all our vitual participants that have completed your event. Whilst you couldn't join us in person we hope you had a great experience. Our team has been busy packaging up and shipping the first of the 2,500+ medals out to our participants over the past week, with the first medals due to arrive to partipants soon.

We hope to have all medals on their way out to you all this week.

Thank you to everyone who has entered this years in person and virtual events. We landed at 4,234 entries. Up 308 on last year. Sadly, this means that we are fully sold out and not accepting any more entries for 2026.

With just a few short days to go we are really excited to see you all on Sunday or hear about your virtual runs.

For those of you that may have missed an entry, we have some exciting thisngs planned for 2027.

Bib collection will be taking place from our long term event partner, The Running Edge shop, 73 Murray Street Hobart.

Bib collection will occur on the following days. Please note that no race numbers will be mailed out.

For those who entered online:
• Wednesday 7th: 10am - 4pm
• Thursday 8th: 10am - 4pm
• Friday 9th: 10am - 4pm
• Saturday 10th: 10am - 4pm

**Note - we have added Saturday as an additional opportunity to collect your bib**

Don’t worry if you can’t get your number in the days leading up to the event. Just allow yourself another 30 min on the morning of the race and you can collect your race number and timing chip on race morning from the race precinct.

Bus Tickets ON SALE NOW!

Once again we will be offering shuttle busses from Hobart to the Cadbury factory for this years event.

Shuttles will be leaving Brooke Street Pier from 4:30am with return shuttles starting from 9:30am. Please note you are required to select your bus time from Brooke Street Pier.
