Nuna-Cheltenham Swimming Club We are a competitive swimming club that strives to develop all swimmers towards their full potential.

Cheltenham Amateur Swimming Club provides a range of swimming options to suit all ages, and caters for entry level squad swimmers through to competitive swimmers. CASC offers swim coaching and training based on modern sustainable principles, focusing on the long-term development and growth of each swimmer whatever their level, and allows specific sessions for fitness and development as well as com

petition-based swimming squads. CASC promotes fun, fitness and inclusion with the philosophy of 'quality over quantity', and is mindful to the needs of developing children and families. CASC aims to maintain motivation and enthusiasm, and recognises that we must provide both flexibility and choice to allow our members to achieve a balance between swimming and other activities. CASC will continue to search for ways to improve in coaching, training and performance, with the specific needs and personal goals of our members always in sight, and with an emphasis on developing a lifelong health through swimming.

What a great weekend of racing for Nuna Cheltenham at the 2026 Mattioli Victorian Metro LC Championships! Our swimmers delivered some excellent performances, highlighted by strong racing and a stack of personal bests. Well done to everyone who stepped up and represented the club so proudly 👏

What a fantastic morning of racing at the Kieser Great Bayside Swim! It was great to see so many juniors competing at their first open water competition. Well done to all the Nuna-Cheltenham swimmers 🌟

Check out the cool drone footage!! This week our juniors braved the cold water and participated in some open water training run by coach Clare!

The sessions focused on how to wade, porpoise and read the conditions. We are looking forward to competing at the The Kieser Great Bayside Swim this month! 🌟🐬

25/26 Victorian Age LC Championships – Wrap-Up! ❤️💙

Congratulations to all our Nuna-Cheltenham athletes who competed over the past six days! There were some outstanding performances, with plenty of PBs and even a few National qualifying times achieved – an incredible effort by everyone involved.

✨ Special mention to Oliver Lesic, who had a fantastic meet, winning two medals:
🥉 3rd – Boys 15yrs 800m Freestyle
🥈 2nd – Boys 15yrs 200m Butterfly
Well done, Oliver!

Across the meet, we had 20 finals swims – 11 individual and 9 relay finals. A terrific team effort!

Well done to all swimmers and coaches. Go Nuna-Cheltenham! ❤️💙

25/26 Victorian Age LC Champs - Day One and Two ❤️💙🌯

What an awesome first two days of competition at the Victorian Age LC Champs!!

Day One began with a fun day filled with relays, where our swimmers delivered some outstanding performances for their teams.

Day Two was also about determination, personal bests, and enjoying every moment in the pool! Our Nuna Cheltenham swimmers showed incredible spirit, supporting each other and celebrating every achievement, big or small 👏🏽

Some standout moments included:
- Ev 41; Emma Baldwin finished 8th (6th Victorian) in the Girls 14yrs 200 Freestyle.
- Ev 58; Daniel Vincze swam a massive personal best to come 7th in the Boys 15yrs 100 Back.
- Ev 63; Oliver Lesic swam fantastically to come 3rd in the Boys 15yrs 800 Free. 🥉

Keep up the amazing work, let’s continue this through the rest of the week!

On the weekend of the 8&9 November, Leigh Nugent will be running stroke technique clinics at Drouin Secondary School Pool.

Leigh is a decorated coach, having spent 20 years coaching at Nunawading, as well as multiple tenures as the head coach of Australia. More recently, Leigh has spent a great deal of time working with the developing swimmers in Victoria as the State Lead Coach.

These clinics are a rare opportunity to learn directly from Leigh.

Just a reminder it is traditional marshalling in the marshalling room for Session 1 and assisted marshalling for Session 2. Backstroke ledges will be in use.

Recently, one of our State Age squad members Alexandra visited Stockholm and got the opportunity to train with Stockholmspolisens. She did both dryland and swimming training and was able to learn how other countries approach training. ❤️💙
