If you're thinking of trying something new or doubling up, this is a great week to do it.

The countdown is on to one of the biggest days on the Scotch calendar — and with it, the race that gets the whole community talking. The 𝗘𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗱 𝟴𝟬𝟬𝗺 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗽 is set to hit the Main Oval once again on 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟭𝟯 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 | 𝟭:𝟯𝟱 𝗽𝗺 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

This is no ordinary race, rather a fun handicap, and it’s open to men and women of all ages. If you can shuffle, jog, or sprint 800m, you belong on the start line.

Incredible result from Sydney yesterday. Merigan 10th in the Aust Championships 2:24.53. 3rd fastest ever marathon by an Old Boy and 5th fastest by a registered OS member. In his marathon debut!! 💪👏🙌

The 56th Hare & Hounds 8k is nearly here, a run that includes scenic trails, grassy sprints, and the thrill of a handicap start.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️Orchard *This Saturday!* 2nd August – New Start Location + 5K Option!

Big changes for this year’s Orchard:

📍 New Start Line: This year we’ll be starting from the Northern End of the Lake at the Coot Picnic Area (opposite MSAC). Paid parking is available at MSAC or behind Lakeside Stadium, and there are often free spots along Canterbury Road – just a short stroll to the start line.

🏃 5K is here! For the first time, we’re offering a single-lap (~5K) option. Your time will be recorded, but no points or awards this year – perfect for those who want to join in without tackling the full 10K.

Key details:
🔵Scan tags before 2:20 PM (nominate 5K or 10K)
🟡Race starts 2:30 PM
🔴Afternoon tea hosted by Old Wesley Aths Club – bring a thermos for hot drinks ☕
