My Workout
Lots of focus on single limb exercises . couple of reasons for that for me personally;
1/ Correct imbalances and stop them from occurring. We're all a bit 'imbalanced' from side to side, but I like to stop big differences occurring.
2/ With Barbell Squats in particular, I always get pain around my sacrum the next day. Even with great technique and no pain at the time this always happens for me. I've resolved that by doing lunges, single leg squats, Bulgarian split squats etc. Still building leg muscle and power, but without the pain later (well I get lots of leg muscle pain - but that's a whole other topic 🙃)
It's important to work with your body, not against it and lots of people have imbalances, weaknesses or other issues that mean certain exercises are not for them.
I have lots of clients who Barbell Squat fine, and lots who use the Safety Bar, Dumbbells or our squat machines instead for various reasons.
Same outcomes (stronger, powerful muscles and full body strength, without the downsides)
The exercises I do in my own workouts are exactly the same ones I give clients - except if they can't do them for above reasons.
I jump into classes when I can, the reason I train by myself is because I'm coaching the classes myself, or the ones I'm not are full already.
DM me to try one of our workouts any time
