💛🤎As the last members of our Seniors team arrive back in 6638 - a massive thanks and appreciation post (grab a cuppa its a long one):
🤎To Mount Magnet Volunteer Fire and Rescue Services Life Member & 47 icon - Garry Davis: We could not have pulled together this team without your solid efforts on the track! Hands down an inspiration to the septuagenarians on the sidelines that age is no barrier to running out a length of hose, slamming in a hydrant or the comeback to a Marshall!
💛To Paul, the competition organising committee & Volunteer Fire & Rescue Services Association of WA Inc: Your efforts in making the competition possible & the encouragement to make it “back” - massive appreciation!
🤎To the teams who lent us runners at Harvey, Kalgoorlie & Bunbury comps so that we could have a run: You each have a piece of 47 heart!
đź’›To the coaches who mentored as we lined up to run an event: This is what the sport is about! We promise to pay it forward!
🤎To our supporters trackside, online & at home in the Mount: Without you and your encouragement 2026 would have been yet another year without 47 on track!
💛To Captain Jim Mcgorman & the MMVFRS fireys: Thanks for the key to the shed & the split of the cash to make the 26 season a reality! You should pop on over trackside for 2027… we promise you wont regret it!
🤎To our subbies & juniors: Thank you for coming down to training each week so that we could train the events we could - nini 47 hearts for sure!
💛🤎To our Coach & Captain Neil: Your passion and love for a number, a number that represents resilience, determination & commitment! A number that embraces a community & inspires more people than you will ever know - YOU are the reason we are here & will continue to show up for as long as there is heart!
