A massive congratulations to our incredible C Grade Women’s team who have officially taken out the Season 1 2026 Championship! 🥇🐝

This marks a historic milestone for our club as our very first Senior Championship title, and we could not be prouder of the determination, teamwork, and heart these young women showed on the field all season. You have set the bar high and written a new chapter for Habana Hornets Touch!

We are bursting with pride to announce that four of our very own from the U14 Girls team have been selected to represent the NQ Cyclones! 🐝🏉

Join us in celebrating this massive achievement for our club:
🌟 Milly McCosker has officially been selected into the NQ Cyclones team!

✨ Aria Cameron & Charlee Anderson have been named in the extended squad as shadow players!

📋 Coach Dave Kirby has also been appointed to the NQ Cyclones coaching staff!

To have three players and a coach from a single junior team progress to the representative stage is an incredible testament to the talent, hard work, and culture being built within our U14 Girls squad.

Dave, Milly, Aria, and Charlee—the entire Habana Hornets community is backing you all the way. Go out there and show them what the Hornet spirit is all about! 🥳🌪️

It is a massive achievement to see these girls take their game to the next level.

Huge congratulations to two of our amazing Hornets who have been achieving some incredible things on the representative stage, both inside and outside of Touch football ! 🐝💨

We love seeing our players shine outside of the club, and these two have certainly been busy:
🏃‍♀️ Rylie Hanson has been dominating the track and trail! After some fantastic running, she has officially progressed to the Capricornia trials in Rockhampton for Cross Country. Your endurance and hard work are paying off, Rylie—good luck at the next level!

🏉 Charlie Anderson was recognised for her achievements in 2025 ! She was recently awarded a Magpies Community Grants recognition for her participation at the National Youth Championships (NYC) representing the NQ Cyclones. A massive achievement and well-deserved recognition for your talent and dedication to the game.

The whole Habana Hornets community is incredibly proud of you both. Keep chasing those goals and representing our region with pride! 🌟

As the Habana Hornets community, we stand together to reflect on the meaning of today.
On this Anzac Day, the Habana Hornets join the nation in solemn remembrance. We honor the incredible courage and sacrifice of the ANZACs, whose strength and spirit continue to inspire us all. We also extend our deepest gratitude to all the men and women who have served—and continue to serve—our country. Their dedication to the values of mateship and service reminds us of how much we can achieve when we stand together.
Today, we pause to say thank you to our veterans and the families who have supported them. Your commitment has shaped our nation, and we carry that legacy forward with pride.
