Knight Fight Western Martial Arts We are a modern combat sport and Western Martial Art (WMA) derived from the traditional combat skills of European warriors of history.

Our art may be likened more to dark age and early medieval systems of combat as opposed to Historic European Martial Arts (HEMA) which teach the documented combat arts particularly of the 15th to 19th centuries. Synthetic weapon simulators are used which maintain a near authentic mass and point of balance, used with shields and incorporating free-hand techniques as well. We draw from traditional E

uropean combat philosophy, experience with other martial arts, and incorporate everything we know today about physics, anatomy, bio-mechanics, combat psychology etc. We spar full speed and full contact and are focused just as much on mass combat as individual bouts. Ultimately we like to think of our school as one where you learn the scientific rationale for how to fight, and how to teach yourself. The techniques you will learn can be adapted to many other forms of combat particularly including historical reenactment.
