I know you can move your body in ways that you enjoy, without ridicule, without shame and pressure. Simply because, you want to. You want to play and be on the ground. To run in the sand. To put your un**es on while standing.

Why you’ll see me post more compound movements and fewer isolation exercises

In daily life, our bodies rarely use one muscle at a time. We move through space using multiple joints and muscle groups working together. That’s why compound movements form the backbone of most of my programming.

Of course, isolation has its place — especially in rehabilitation, injury management, or when we need to bring attention to a specific movement pattern. But for most people, most of the time, training the body to work as a system is where the real magic happens.

This is a simple session for a client who loves riding, is rebuilding consistency, and is returning to strength training. We’ve started with three compound movements that challenge stability, lean heavily on the glutes and hamstrings, and are easy to scale up or down depending on the day.

As consistency builds, we’ll layer things in — more volume, more variation, more challenge — always with long-term progress in mind.

Slow, steady consistency doesn’t always feel like enough in the beginning. But scaling up is far easier than burning out, pulling back, or starting again.

3 rounds x 5-8 repetitions of each.
• Dead lift
• Bent over row
• Squat press

- aim for weight that you can lift and hold good form.
