⚽️🐾 Kicking Off Soccer Journeys!

⚽️ Hakoah Central Coast Futsal Academy squads looking sharp in our first tournament together!

I’m a very proud coach seeing how much our players improved from the start to the end of the day. We definitely need more futsal comps like this on the Central Coast. Huge thanks to Central Coast Strikers Futsal Club.

A few highlights from the day…

First, seeing our players step outside their comfort zones, try new things, and start learning how to play the Hakoah way. It was also special getting to celebrate so many individual and team firsts throughout the day.

On a personal note, it was a real pleasure coaching alongside and .marsh. Imy was one of the very first players I ever coached, and a big reason why I fell in love with coaching in the first place. It felt very full circle to not only coach with her as a player, but now to see her stepping into coaching herself.

And Ashton stepped up massively as a coach too. The kids absolutely loved him, and honestly, I wish I had his mindset when I was 17. He already has the qualities to coach at a very high level in futsal.

Lastly, one of my favourite parts of the day was the support our teams showed each other. Something I feel is missing a bit these days is the camaraderie I remember from the futsal teams I grew up with. Without even being asked, so many of our Hakoah players stayed back to watch and cheer on our U12s in the Grand Final.

It was a tight game for most of the match against , a strong team I’ve played against before in finals. At 1-1, it could have gone either way. But I truly believe the energy and support we brought helped lift the team to another level, finishing with a 5-1 win.
