Five foundation spots. Open now.

I’m Brett. I’ve spent the last stretch getting things set up properly rather than rushing it — now I’m ready to launch my online coaching platform.

Today I’m opening five foundation spots.
What you get:
→ A program built for you. Your gear, your schedule, your goals, your injuries. Not pulled off a shelf.
→ Weekly check-ins where I actually change things based on how your training is going.
→ Direct message access in between. Form checks, questions, “I’m away for work and there’s two dumbbells” — that’s what I’m here for.
→ All delivered through Trainerize, so it lives on your phone and it’s simple.
→ Nutrition coaching included free from January 2027, once I finish my Cert IV. Foundation members keep it permanently at no extra cost.

The price:
Standard rate will be $60/week. Foundation members pay just $35/week — locked in for as long as you stay a client. Not for three months. For good.

Why five, and why cheaper:
I’d rather give five people a genuinely excellent experience and build my name on their results than take twenty and do average work. Foundation members get more of my attention than anyone joining later. That’s the trade, and it’s honest.

Who this is for: people ready to train consistently for the next twelve months. Not chasing a quick fix. Not needing someone to motivate them every morning.

Five spots. Two weeks, or until they’re gone.
DM me the word FOUNDATION and I’ll send you the details. Let’s go.

You don’t have a discipline problem. You’ve only tried plans that were never going to work.

For the majority of people, restrictive diets work on paper but fail in practice, for the same reason: it needs you to be a different person than you actually are.

Cut carbs entirely? Fine, until there’s a birthday.
Track every gram? Sure, until you’re travelling.
Eat 1200 calories a day? Okay, until your body’s had enough and you eat absolutely everything in the house on a Thursday night!

None of that is weakness. It’s a predictable response to a plan built on extremes.

What actually works is far less exciting. Enough protein. Varied, healthy, whole foods. A rough handle on how much you’re eating. Leaving some room for the food you actually enjoy, because a plan you resent is a plan you’ll quit.

The boring version wins because you’ll still be doing it in two years. The extreme version doesn’t, because you won’t.

I’m currently finishing my Cert IV in Nutrition, and this is exactly why. Training and nutrition aren’t separate problems, and coaching one without the other only gets people halfway.

What’s the most restrictive thing you’ve ever tried? Curious how far people have gone for results.

The most common mistake I see isn’t bad form. It’s people changing their program every three weeks because they’re bored.

New program, fresh motivation, feels productive. Then week three hits, progress feels slow, something on Instagram looks better — so they switch.

Here’s the problem. Strength doesn’t come from the exercises. It comes from getting better at the same exercises over time. It’s repetitive, but it’s essential.

So before you switch again, ask one question: are the numbers going up?
If yes — stay. Boredom isn’t a reason to leave a program that’s working.
If no — the problem probably isn’t the program. It’s consistency, recovery, effort or food. Changing exercises won’t fix any of those.

How long have you been on your current program? Let me know if you’re due for a change.

"How does online personal training even work?"

Fair question. Most people picture a PDF workout emailed to you and a coach who goes silent after week two. So here's exactly what it looks like with me.

You get an app. Trainerize. Your program lives there — every session, every exercise, video demos for anything you're unsure about. You tick it off as you go.

Your program is built for you. Not pulled off a shelf. Built around your equipment, your available days, your injuries, your goals, your experience level.

We check in fortnightly. You tell me what worked, what didn't, how you felt, what your week threw at you. I adjust from there. This is the part that actually matters — a program that never changes isn't coaching, it's a document.

You can message me. Stuck on form? Travelling next week and don't have a gym? Ask. That's what I'm here for. There is always a suitable adjustment we can make.

You train when it suits you. No booked sessions, no driving to a studio, no 6am workouts if you're not an early bird.

What you don't get is someone standing over you counting reps and helping you load plates on the bar. If that's what you need from a PT, 1-on-1 coaching is a better fit for you and I'll say so honestly.

Any questions about how it works - drop them below. I'll answer all of them.

Prior to becoming a PT, I spent 15 years in the military maintaining combat aircraft and their weapon systems. Highly technical work, zero margin for error, and if you got it wrong people died. You learn to respect the process.

I also played a lot of competitive sport in this time. Mostly Rugby League, but also Rugby Union, cricket and touch football. All physical sports that demanded strength, speed, endurance and precision. Here I learned how to dig deep and put my body on the line for my team mates.

After both of these periods of my life came to a close, I felt quite lost. I spent a considerable amount of time away from the gym and away from sports entirely. I was in a poor mental state, and my body was declining physically. Thankfully a friend helped me reignite the passion and get back into the gym, for that I am eternally grateful.

Not only did I bounce back, but I am now doing it for the right reasons. I reminded myself that I love working out, it's good for my body and it's good for my mind. I walk into the gym with a renewed sense of clarity and purpose. I'm not competing against anyone but myself. I don't have anything to prove to anyone else. I just aim to move my body in a way that I enjoy, to be as happy and healthy as I can, for the people that I care about.

The aim now is to stay healthy, continue to enjoy the process and ultimately to be that little bit stronger every so often, but not get caught up on the numbers. It is not a short journey, it's a long one, and this is where consistency and patience play their part. Trust the process, listen to your body, train hard but leave your ego at the door, the results will come.

Life never really settles down, not for long anyway. There will always be another challenge waiting around the corner. That's the thing we sometimes forget. A plan that only works in the easy times isn't really a plan at all. This is where a simple system, built on consistency and accountability is worth its weight in gold.

That's why I coach now. Not because I've always been disciplined, or because I am perfect at it now. Because I know exactly what it feels like to be capable and keen, but stuck with a failing body or mind, and a system of training that just doesn't work. So I'm here to help guide people on their own fitness journey, to find their rhythm and ultimately reach their goals.

If you've been waiting for things to settle down before you start - maybe consider the fact that it never will - what would life look like if you just started now? Let me know in the comments.

Decades around sports and fitness have taught me that the people who get results aren't the most talented ones. They're the ones who show up consistently.

I'm Brett. I'm a personal trainer based in NSW. I coach people online — anywhere in Australia. More importantly, I'm a Dad and a Husband. I have a life and conflicting priorities, and I want to help other people work within and around those priorities to build some consistency in their training, to see real results.

I'm looking for those people who are fed up with the all-or-nothing cycle. You've done the 6am boot camps and the 1200-calorie diets and the 12-week challenges, and every time you stopped, it all fell away. Not because you're lazy. Because none of it was built to last.

What I do is different. Strength-based programming, built around your actual life - your work hours, your family, your gym or your living room. Fortnightly check-ins so you're never guessing. Adjustments as your life changes, because we all know it will.

I'm building this properly and I'm building it slowly. So over the next few weeks I'll show you exactly how I coach, what I believe, and why. Stay tuned for my introductory offer, coming soon.

Follow along. And if you've been circling the idea of getting serious about your training - drop a comment below, I'm always happy to chat.
