Colin came to me doing 17kg on the one arm row.

First 6–8 weeks 10 to 12 reps. Build the base.

Learn the movement. Trust the process.
Now?

27.5kg. 6 to 8 reps. Stronger. Heavier. Progressing.

That’s not luck. That’s progressive overload done right.
Most guys jump weight too fast and wonder why they’re not growing.

Colin didn’t. He followed the programme.
This is what happens when you stop guessing and start training with a plan.

This was me on a podcast last year.

I didn’t have the perfect answer.
I wasn’t trying to sound motivational.

But looking back, the message was simple:

You’re going to get knocked down.
Life’s going to test you.
Things won’t always go to plan.

But you still have to get up, make better choices, and keep moving forward.

That’s been the biggest lesson for me as a coach, a dad, and a man.

Never back down.
Never stop.

Alcohol. Painkillers. Whatever took the edge off.

He wasn’t living he was just numbing.
That was me.

I told myself I had it under control. I didn’t. I was disappearing slowly and calling it getting by.

Getting sober wasn’t just putting the bottle down. It was facing everything I’d been running from. The pain. The excuses. The version of myself I was too scared to look at.

It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.
And it’s the reason I can stand in front of men today and tell them I know exactly where you are.

The gym didn’t save me on its own. But it gave me somewhere to put it all. Structure. Purpose. Something real to build.

If you’re medicating right now with drink, with pills, with whatever gets you through the night I’m not here to judge you.

I’m here because I know there’s another way.

Discipline over convenience.

Saw this from video last night it’s a solid finisher.

Good way to burn out the biceps at the end.

But don’t fall into the trap of thinking stuff like this is what gets results.

It’s the basics. Done properly. Over time.

Add it in if you want…
just don’t skip the work that actually matters.
