- A WIN IS A WIN -

- Some of my quiet wins lately 🫶🏼
not every win comes with a medal, a big announcement or a huge moment.

- Sometimes it’s finishing a book.
playing 90 minutes again.
saying no when something doesn’t align with you.
driving past the takeaway after training 😭
or finally investing in yourself instead of putting it off.

- I think we get so caught up waiting for the big wins that we forget to give ourselves credit for the little ones that are actually moving us forward.

- Progress has looked a little different for me lately, and i’m learning that doesn’t make it any less valuable.
a win is a win. big, small, loud or quiet 🤍

- What injury has taught me, as an athlete… -

- Injury is something I never thought I’d be grateful for.

Being forced to step away from the game gave me a lot of time to think about who I am when I’m not performing, coaching, competing or constantly pushing for the next thing.

It’s been lonely, frustrating and probably one of the biggest mental challenges I’ve faced as an athlete. But somewhere along the way, I stopped seeing recovery as time lost.

I’ve learnt to rest. I’ve learnt to listen to my body. I’ve learnt that my performance doesn’t determine my worth, and that sometimes taking a step backwards is exactly what you need to move forward.

I wouldn’t choose injury, but I’m grateful for the athlete — and person — it’s teaching me to become. 💖
