🏀 Game 5 – Mothercluckers vs Steelers

Our veteran team hit the court with plenty of verve and spirit despite the years! 💪🔥

In a closely contested game that went right down to the wire, the Mothercluckers battled hard but ultimately fell to the Steelers in a nail-biting finish, going down 48–40.

A great effort from the team, with the clock proving to be the difference! ⏱️

We’re already looking forward to the next game. Keep that fighting spirit alive, Mothercluckers! 🐔🏀👏

🏀 Game 4: The Bubblegum Ballers 🍬

Our youngest boys, the Bubblegum Ballers, all under 18, came out fighting and gave it their all! 💪

Up against the Legends, it was a scrappy, hard-fought game, with both teams enthusiastically contesting every single ball! 🔥🏀

Playing in their very first Jacaranda Basketball Carnival together, the boys have plenty to be proud of. Despite the 17–39 loss, they showed plenty of heart, determination and teamwork, walking away with lots of positives to build on.

Heads held high, boys! 🙌💗 Every game is a chance to learn, grow and get stronger together. The future is bright for our Bubblegum Ballers! 🍬🏀

The Squat Squad put the first win on the board for our Glen Innes teams, taking down the Random Rabbits with a convincing 34–12 victory! 🎉👏

There was some brilliant attacking play, strong defensive work, and some fantastic intercepts from Emily Burton! 🙌

An awesome all-round team effort from the girls to secure that first win! 💥

Yay, go the girls! 💖🏀💪🏻

🏀 Jacaranda Basketball Carnival – Game 2 | B Grade Men 🐔

What a nail-biter! 🔥

Our B Grade Men’s team, What the Cluck, went down fighting against the Legends of Doom in a thriller that came down to the final minute!

There were some phenomenal intercepts, clutch shooting, and tough defence right across the court. A special shout-out to Brendan Connors, playing in his first-ever Jacaranda Basketball Carnival, who made his mark with some outstanding intercepts and shooting! 👏🏀

The whole team fought hard, brought the defensive pressure, and kept the game alive until the very end.

Final score: What the Cluck 55 – Legends of Doom 59 💪

Not the result we wanted, but an incredible effort from the boys in a game that could have gone either way! Bring on the next one! 🐔🔥

🏀 GAME 1 – BALD NOBS | JACARANDA BASKETBALL CARNIVAL 🌸

One game down for our first Glen Innes team, the Bald Nobs, at the annual pilgrimage to the Jacaranda Basketball Carnival!

The boys fought valiantly, kept battling, and worked hard to close the gap, but unfortunately ran out of time to make the impact they needed.

Final score: Grafton Goats 57 def. Bald Nobs 39.

Plenty of fight shown, and there’s more basketball to come! 💪🏀
