The pushing stage ran shorter for the Pilates group. Pain scores came in lower. Their babies scored higher at the one minute mark, the first quick read on how a newborn is handling the world outside.

None of that is magic. Pelvic floor, deep core, breath. That is the Pilates list, and it is very nearly the labour list too. You are also rehearsing the harder skill, holding steady while the work gets hard.

Prenatal and Postnatal at NUFORM are built for the body you are in right now. Barre, Nourish and Mat Flow work well through most stages. Tell your instructor you are expecting and they will look after the modifications.

There’s no finish line here. No before and after grid, no six week transformation. Just what happens when you keep showing up. You get stronger. Your body moves better when it isn’t being punished.

The room is quieter than you think. Nobody is watching you. The back row is a completely legitimate place to start, and you only have to be the new person once.

So take the spot. Book the class. Then come back Thursday.
