⭐️Volunteer of the Week - Liz Madden⭐️
We are delighted to recognise Liz Madden as our Volunteer of the Week — someone who continually goes above and beyond, generously giving her time, energy and support to our players, families and the wider Bell Park community.
In 2025, Liz coached not one, but two junior teams in our 13U Midweek Winter Competition. Her dedication and commitment paid off, with both her teams — 13U Black and 13U White — going on to win Premierships that season.
Liz is incredibly passionate about supporting and developing the next generation of Dragons. In the 2026 season, Liz is coaching 11U Ryan as well as taking on the role of Junior 9U & 11U Netball Coordinator. She has also been instrumental in establishing our inaugural 9U program, helping get our first two 9U teams up and running.
Alongside Rachel, Liz played a huge role in making the netball component of the Hanlon Cup such a fantastic success for our club. From the countless hours of planning and organisation behind the scenes to being there on the day to ensure everything ran smoothly, Liz’s hard work, dedication and attention to detail helped bring the event together and create a wonderful experience for our players, families and supporters.
But Liz’s commitment to our club extends beyond the netball court. Alongside her husband, Dean, Liz has played an important role in keeping our 14U Female Football team going strong. For the past two years, you could find Liz on the sidelines each week, helping with everything from managing the interchange bench to keeping statistics and supporting the team wherever needed.
We are incredibly fortunate to have Liz and her family as part of the Bell Park family. Dean also gives his time as a co-coach and team manager for their daughter Harper’s football team, while Harper proudly represents the Dragons in netball each week. It truly is a wonderful example of a family getting involved and giving back to our club.
Liz is someone who consistently gives her time, energy and support to those around her. Her willingness to step up, lend a hand and help our juniors thrive is a wonderful reflection of the community spirit at the heart of Bell Park Football & Netball Club.
Thank you, Liz, for everything you do for our club and our Dragons. We are so lucky to have you! 🐉
