The boys have a tough pool ahead of them, but if they lock in, play together and bring their best, they have a fighting chance to go all the way and secure the State title! 🏆

Our Year 7 and Year 8 Girls Soccer teams are both competing in the Victorian State Finals today, each taking on seven of the best school teams in the state for the title of Victorian Champions! 💙🧡⚽️

Having two teams reach the State Finals is a fantastic achievement and a great reflection of the depth and strength of our Specialist Soccer Program.

Could today be a history-making double State Championship for WHC? 👀🏆🏆

🥉 BRONZE MEDALISTS 🥉
ALL SCHOOLS NATIONAL NETBALL CHALLENGE QLD!!

A huge congratulations to our intermediate girls high performance division team who took out the Bronze Medal at the National Netball Challenge tournament against schools from around Australia. After narrowly missing out on the Gold Medal Playoff by 2 goals the team dominated their final to take home the Bronze Medal. With 4 x 14 yr olds in an under 18 category this group played sensational netball all week showing incredible relentlessness and skill and taking it right up to every team till the end with amazing spirit.

In the Intermediate Girls development Division our crew finished 5th with 5win 3 losses and a draw with some excellent matches throughout the 3 days.

As a coaching group this is a sensational achievement by our Netball Program Students and WHC on the National stage.

Their performances and the way they went about their matches with spirit, respect and sportsmanship was commented on by so many during the tournament by umpires officials and other teams coaches.

The growth from this player group throughout this experience has been huge around performance conduct, preparation, attitude and resilience, not to mention support of each other and friendship and being a good human with the focus on who you want to be as players and people influencing outcomes. Awesome.

They should be super proud!!

An elite coaching session today for the team with Rose Jencke Australian Diamond and World Champion, 3 time SSN Premiership winning Coach and Australian Pathway Coach before hitting the Aqua Park in 28 degree heat!! Not a bad way to finish before the long trip home!

Big Thankyou to coaches Ainsley Corrigan and Renee Lane in QLD and Stacey Dodds and Seth Tomlinson in preparing athletes prior and WHC academic staff for supporting student athlete commitments and study. All your influence and support impacts and is appreciated finally WHC for the opportunity for such an experience for our Netball Program Students 👏

QLD NETBALL TOUR DAY 1

The Squad arrived in sunny warm Gold Coast for Day 1, settling into the Gold Coast Performance Centre accomodation and elite facilities before heading to the All Schools National Netball Challenge Opening Ceremony lead by flag bearers Summer Volkerts and original Netball Program member Tayla Lovell 🙌
Student athletes enjoyed the smoke ceremony and cultural dancing before mingling with teams ready for tomorrow’s competition.
Some beach volleyball downtime before refocusing on team attributes and who we want to be tomorrow.
RELENTLESS RESILIENT SUPPORTIVE CONNECTED DRIVEN 💪

🏐 SSP NETBALL | LEXIE WHATLEY 🏐

A huge congratulations to SSP Netballer Lexie Whatley, who has been selected in the final squad of 25 for the Victorian U19 Netball Team! 🔥👏

A fantastic achievement for Lexie and a reflection of the hard work she continues to put into her netball.

Lexie has been fortunate to be mentored and guided throughout her development by our Netball GOAT Susan Meaney 🐐, alongside the rest of our brilliant SSP Netball crew, Stacey, Ainsley and Seth, who continue to challenge and support our netball athletes every day.

We’re incredibly proud of Lexie for reaching this stage and wish her all the best for the final selection process. Hopefully the next announcement has her name in the final Victorian team! 🤞💙
