Tomorrow we start back up at the club with a rapid tournament! This tournament will be played for six rounds over two weeks, and is a great way to get into the swing of things. Anyone is welcome, so we hope to see you there! :):)

The 2018 Fletcher Morrow Challenge will be held in Ballarat on Sunday 12th August at 1.00pm. This annual match between the Ballarat and Geelong Chess Club is open to all Geelong players.

The club welcomed Connor Liu, playing his first Grand Prix event, and the return of Geoff Davis from Ballarat.

Connor defended well in his game, to secure a draw against Mio Ristic. Likewise, Owen Courtis held Michael Sugrue to a draw despite losing a pawn early in the match.
