They did it again!
Congratulations ladies on a wonderful game. It was a pleasure to get to watch you play with such style.

Wakehurst has now won the Presidents Cup 11 out of the last 12 years.
Whoo Hoo! Some of the girls then backed up for the Metro League Grand Final Yesterday.
What amazing athletes these players are.

𝗖𝗢𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗦

Finals bring excitement, nerves and a little extra pressure for players and coaches.

As coaches, one of the best things we can give our players this weekend is calm, positive leadership.
💙 Encourage, don’t discourage. Players will make mistakes. Help them reset and focus on the next ball.
💙 Stay calm under pressure. Your players will take their cues from you. A calm coach helps create a calm team.
💙 Keep instructions simple. When nerves kick in, clear and positive messages work best.
💙 Lead with positive body language. Keep a smile on your face, stay composed and use encouraging gestures. Your players will often mirror the energy you bring to the sideline.
💙 Manage the moment. If things aren't going to plan, take a breath, regroup and remind your players of what they can control.
💙 Celebrate effort. A great intercept, strong drive, good sportsmanship or simply refusing to give up deserves recognition.

Most importantly, remember that while everyone wants to win, how we coach matters too.
Be the voice on the sideline that builds confidence, settles nerves and reminds players why they love the game.

Now is the time to check and run the update!

Make sure the Netball HQ app is updated to the latest version before you arrive at the courts.

Once updated, it doesn’t hurt to log out and log back in to make sure everything is refreshed and ready to go.

Please don’t wait until game time to discover there’s a problem!

If you’re having any issues accessing your team or live scoring, visit the Control Room well and truly BEFORE your game starts so we have time to help.

𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗦 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥 🤗

Most teams have multiple managers allocated who can access Live Scoring. Before Saturday, please organise amongst yourselves who will be your team’s dedicated scorer.

Please make sure your scorer:
✅ Is allocated to the team and activated to score
🔋 Brings a fully charged phone
✅ Check in plenty of time that you can access "SCORE GAME" 60 minutes before. Don't leave it until the games are about to start.

Before the game, the home team scorer is responsible for allocating both the home and away team line-ups. This must be completed together with the away team scorer, ensuring any borrowed players are added correctly as Fill-In Players.

Any questions regarding player eligibility must be clarified with the Executive Member on duty before the game begins.

Once the line-ups are confirmed, both scorers must stand together at the centre of the court for the entire game.

𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗜 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗗𝗢𝗪𝗡!

As we continue our countdown to the Semi Finals this weekend, here’s an important reminder for 𝗔𝗟𝗟 players before you arrive at the courts.

✂️ Cut your nails
💍 Remove ALL jewellery
👂 Earrings MUST be removed. They cannot be taped

Umpires will be checking all players before the game. If you are wearing jewellery or earrings, you will be asked to remove them and will not be permitted to take the court until this has been done.

Please don’t leave it until game time! Get organised before you arrive so your team is ready to take the court when that first whistle blows.

Nails short. Jewellery off. Earrings out. Ready to play!

𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧. 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦.

Game management plays an important role in keeping our game safe, fair and enjoyable for everyone.

Under the current Rules of Netball, umpires have a clear process available to them when behaviour needs to be addressed, from proactive advice through to warnings, suspensions and ordering off.

We encourage players, coaches, managers and supporters to take a few minutes to familiarise themselves with the process and understand what each action means.

Most importantly, remember that our umpires work together as a team to manage the game. Please respect their decisions and support them in creating a positive environment on and around the court.
