Entries are now open for the third and final qualifying 2025/26 Winter Track and Field meet, taking place at Goldsworthy Reserve, Corio on Sunday, 12th July.

This afternoon Sophie, Sienna and Luca represented Bendigo at the LAV State Cross Country Relays. The U9 girls did a great job out at Jells Park. Placed 9th overall, with a time of 12:45 and with a big nasty hill to contend with - a great performance. Well done girls! 🏃‍♀️💙💛

Athletics Bendigo are hosting a XCR event at St Anne’s Winery on 30 May.

This is a big event for the Bendigo region with Cross Country runners competing from statewide.

Athletics Bendigo is proud to be the host venue of an Athletics Victoria XCR round at St Annes Winery in Ravenswood. As the host region, we are required to provide 30 volunteer club helpers to help make the day run smoothly!

The day will draw close to 1,000 athletes from across Victoria to our region on a tough cross country course that weaves through the vines and paddocks. There are multiple viewing areas for spectators and crowds to watch the athletes from underage to masters test themselves.

Congratulations Jasper Seymour on winning the silver medal in the U18 male discus with a throw of 55.09m! 👏 It wouldn’t be another major competition without another personal best for Jasper, adding 75cm to his lifetime performance in round five💪

The 2026 Winter State Race Walk Road Championships is being held at Middle Park Bowling Club on Saturday 13th June, 2026. It is open to all registered competitive LAVic members from U9-U17. All distances will feature Boys and Girls races in their respective age groups.

We held our AGM last Thursday and formed a new committee in preparation for the 2026/2027 season.

It is with great gratitude and thanks we farewell Peter Clarke and Aimie Brown from the committee. Both will leave large shoes to fill, but we hope to continue to see them around the track.

We would also like to thank Mick Seymour for his time and dedication spent over the last 3 years as President. This year will be Mick's first year without children competing and we greatly appreciate his continued support by staying on the committee as Vice President to ensure a smooth transition to Louis.

Now the hard work begins planning and setting up a fantastic 2026/27 Season.

What an achievement!!
A huge congratulations to Jasper Seymour, who has been selected in the Australian Athletics U18 team to represent Australia at 2026 Oceania Athletics Championships in Darwin in May.

Jasper finished his Littles journey this year as one of our U17 competitors, setting a few centre records on his way out. Looks like many big things continue to be achieved in Jaspers future.
