It’s official! After 19.5 years Blue Circus is over 😟 They say every ending is a new beginning, and we have just set up all of our gear so we can continue to support our community. Thank you to everyone who has helped make the Blue the amazing place that it was. It truly was a community driven business and household. See you on the flip side!

Following the Government announcement yesterday we will be closing our doors tonight, Wednesday 8 July 2020, for a 6 week hiatus

It’s meant so much to see members of our community in the past two weeks and open our doors again. We’ve appreciated your support during this time. This is very much a see you later

Week 2!
What a week...look at this fab bunch o circus folk training alone together 💪🏼

Next weeks hours looks as follows:
Monday- Friday 1pm-5.30pm
***Last Entry 3.30pm to ensure everyone has filled in contact tracing, had their temperature taken and allow for 2 hour training slot

Monday - Friday 1pm - 5.30pm

We are still taking temperatures and contact tracing on entry

It’s been great to see some of your faces again. Here is a few pics from week one...
Two days before opening with tarket laid, physically distant tissu classes and Open training with our new physically distant squares.

Thanks for being so respectful in the space and looking after not only our Circus community health but the health of our community as a whole.

Are you ready? ... Monday 22 June 2020 ...
Open Training can commence again

In almost 20 years this is the longest we’ve been closed! And we are flippin’ excited to open again 🤸🏻‍♀️

A few changes from before...
$8 for a 2 hour training slot
Temperature checks and sanitising station on entry
Allocated physically distant training sections
Last entry of the day 3.30pm
BUT longer hours...
Mon, Tues, Thurs 11 - 5.30
Wed, Fri 1 - 5.30

We will be asking you to stay at home if you’re not feeling well, bring along minimal belongings, practise physical distancing in the space and avoid adagio(unless you are partners). Adagio will be permitted from July 13.

Looking forward to seeing the Blue Crew in 5 sleeps!

This land always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

This year BCS is aiming to be a better ally to the First Nations people. How can we do that?
• Read books by indigenous people, watch a documentary at pathtoequality.com.au, follow Instagram pages such as and

• Buy from indigenous authors, makers and artists. Check out and

• Donate! Grassroots organistion such paytherent.net.au and are a great place to start. Or donate to your local aboriginal legal service.

And we need to admit to ourselves that if we are really trying to be anti-racist sometimes we will get it wrong and we will need to say sorry! Let’s keep the momentum going long after the news stops reporting.

Sundays at Blue.... before iso Blue on a Sunday was for contortion Training with the talented .
These amazing shots by Stan Mariette were taken at the mid year Contortion Showcase in 2019.
We are busy preparing Blue to open again once it’s safer for our whole community. We look forward to hosting many more showcases and performances in the near future.
