A big weekend of racing completed. After an early morning visit to ProFile Autosports + Tuning to fine tune some shift patterns we headed to Raceway | Drag Racing's Finest to test the results. Both the box and air temps were now crisp ans sharp, and it showed. 12.288 @117.43MPH New pb.
Saturday was race day with the QDRC RND 3 kicking off. We kicked off the day with some good reactions and was happy with the results over the 3 rounds of qualifying. Round 1 of racing seen us take on Michael Crouch. This car is more consistent than a politician telling a lie at a press conference. Lucky for me Michael had an issue on the line which allowed us to take the win. Round 2 was my old mate "The mad professor" Dale Samuelson. Now i'm quietly sh****ng myself as the only way to beat him is to pin him to the tree. And that we did. .002 is the secret sauce, oh and dale red lit, but the silver lining was he ran his 1st 11 sec pass. Well done . Round 3, Alex the kidd(in his miracle world). Now racing him will always expose your inexperience. Super talented, Super consistent and just a terrible looking kid with dirty shifty mow on his face🤣, made me nervous enough to red light. Would have been a very close race if it was double green. 2 wins for the weekend added some good points to a long season.

QDRC Round 2 done over the weekend. Finally get to test the new format with seeding decided by the best reaction time over 3 qualifying round and not just 1. Gives you a chance to get your head in the game and iron out any creases. 1st run we pulled a .122 R/T with a 12.537 @ 114.58MPH. Not the greatest starts but the car is running well and now its time for the driver to do the same. Q2 seen us do exactly that .061 R/T was alot better and now we are heading in the right direction. Then we get the time slip. A new PB 12.403 @ 115.36MPH that's 1/2 a tenth quicker than its ever been. Now we are getting excited for the rest of the day. Q3 was a mixed bag. back to .102 R/T(wakey wakey driver) car short shifted 2nd gear by 400rpm but the time card didn't suggest anything as it went a 12.467 @ 114.79MPH. insert overthinking mode.
Rnd 1 racing seem us take on Jack Nielsen. Race was over as the last yellow light stayed on as I left the line and then it threw a fat red light at me. -.015, dam this game is decided by margins tighter than a Jewish banker. Car ran a tenth off its dial in which didn't help. Rnd 2, we were up against the young Skylah Wagensveld. Her previous run was good and I was nervous going into this race as she comes from a big family of racing. Luckily she handed me a tenth off the line and I managed to drive around her and get the win. Rnd 3, the mad professor himself Dale Samelusen, OH s**t this will be tough, tough it was. .002 R/T wasn't enough as I ran nearly 2 tenths off the dial in and that was enough to hand dale the win. Not the start to the season we wanted but never the less we managed 1 win and some points on the board. Well done to Alex Kidd(YOUR BANNED) with a win in his 1st race in real street and my mentor Tony Rodgers with a runners up result.
My family for spending a VERY long day at the track I truly appreciate it, seeing you all there makes it that extra special. lastly the Green Army of Willowbank. No you. No us. so cheers to you.

FINALLY some racing to be had. January seemed so long ago. Spent some time sorting out the air intake temps and trying to get this car to breath some cooler air since the last race meet. I think we have it sorted with the car smashing its previous pb of 12.676 with a 12.495. With the guidance of Merchant Family Racing and Hostyl customs on what should be changed we are really looking forward to the cooler months. Now we have proved the fastest car doesn't win the championship but the most consistent car does, we have also managed to gather some data at higher starting temps and it seems to have remained consistent for the rest of the night with 3 runs ranging from 12.648, 12.604 and 12.681. It also cools down by 20 deg whilst on track.
Looking forward to next Saturday as we finally kick off the next round of QDRC.
Big cheers to the green army for allowing an extra hour due to the massive turn out

18th of April QDRC RND 2 can't come round soon enough. Been way too long between races. Looking forward to seeing some old faces return to the bracket and also seeing the off season upgrades some have been doing

Due to dancing way too hard for rain we won't be able to attend round 1 of QDRC due to building an ark. Thank god Willowbank Raceway | Drag Racing's Finest made the call and cancelled the event. This gives us some time to sort out some air intake mods. Look forward to April round 2 as this heat will be well out the door.
