Evans Head Junior Bombers

Evans Head Bombers JRLC The Evans Head Bombers Rugby League Club are looking to re-establish their junior club for the 2024 season.

If you have a child who would like to play rugby league, please let us know early so we can do our best to accommodate each child and get an idea of where numbers will fall for each age division. Having a junior league is only possible if we also have parents on board. We will need as much help as possible. If you can offer assistance in any capacity, please let us know. Roles are many and varied from coaches and team organisers to canteen helpers. If you can help, there is a role for you. Make sure we have your name, email address and phone number so we can contact you as we build the club, we don't want anyone to miss out!

🏆Our Under 15s girls had their presentation tonight at Club Evans RSL - Evans Head.

Congratulations to all of the girls for sticking out the season, giving it a red hot crack and finishing with a win!

🏉 𝟭𝟰𝘀 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝗥𝘂𝗴𝗯𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲

In the final week of Term 2, our 14s girls rugby league team competed in the Northern Rivers/Far North Coast Regional Finals of the Statewide Country Cup Rugby League Competition.

Led by a powerful forward pack, the girls played outstanding rugby league and took the challenge to teams from much larger schools across the region.

They opened the carnival with an impressive 40–0 victory over St John’s College Woodlawn, followed by a dominant 36–0 win against St Mary’s Catholic College Casino.

The team then faced Ballina Coast High School in the grand final and took an early lead after Abby charged through four defenders to score the opening try. The girls gave everything in a highly physical contest, eventually going down 12–4 in the final minutes after losing two players to injury.

Congratulations to the team on finishing as carnival runners-up! The girls represented our school with determination, teamwork and great camaraderie. They are now looking forward to competing in the NRL Titans 9s later in Term 3.

Round 12 finishes at home v Kyogle Turkeys. 🦃

This round is a special one, we’re also raising some funds for a very worthy cause, so come along, cheer on the kids and help us fundraise for Breast Cancer. 🎀
