🤩Adult Ballet is Back Thursday Feb 12th🤩
I am so looking forward to spinning into ballet with you on Thursday! Let's get lengthened, strengthened and graceful again in 2026! We've had quite a break, so we will ease back into it with a lovely flowing class.

Adagio Adult Ballet ~ this Thursday Feb 12th
Where: Central Coast Salsa studio, down from the Hub and the Library outside the bus stops.
Time: 9.15AM - 10.15AM (aim to arrive just after 9am to get organised and to start warming up)
Term Dates: This term is a short 8 weeks.
Start: Thurs Feb 12th. Ends: Thurs April 2nd.

Adagio Adult Ballet is about reminding the body to move balletically, to open up to the possibilities of balletic movement that you may not have experienced for a while, to reconnect to a nostalgia that you have for your past "ballet days".

🩰 Thank You Miss Karina & Welcome Miss Amanda 👏💕 We are so excited for your next chapter! Miss Karina will be exiting stage left for a little while (don’t worry she will still be around 🤩) so the lovely Miss Amanda will be jumping in to teach on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! Students have been getting to know Miss Amanda over the last few weeks, but here’s a bit more about her. 🩰🤩
Miss Amanda’s classical training was under the guidance of Jennifer Ham; she was one of her first students when she founded, Ballet Academy Northside in Sydney. Amanda studied RAD Classical Ballet through to Advanced RAD gaining ARAD status, she also studied Character Dance and Contemporary Dance. Well known Miss Rita Dubovsky played a pivotal role in her love for Character Dance and Amanda mastered traditional dances such as Russian, Ukraine and Moldavian under her tutelage.

Amanda’s final years of ballet study were under the guidance of Tanya Pearson OAM at the prestigious Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy in Sydney. Amanda has also been trained by highly regarded teachers including Kim Trainer, Julie Wells and Leslie Abraham. A ballet highlight was being selected as a finalist at the Australian Ballet School auditions.

After school, Amanda’s thirst for knowledge extended beyond the dance studio and she went on to complete a Bachelor of Science at Macquarie University with a focus on Human Anatomy and Physiology. This knowledge proved invaluable as she transitioned into dance teaching, allowing her to explain to students the “how” and “why” behind movements.

Amanda has taught contemporary, stretch and classical ballet classes at Ballet Academy Northside, Ryde Secondary College, where her contemporary-based pieces were selected for the NSW public schools’ Sydney North Dance Festival and Central Coast United Physie where Amanda fostered a love for dance in children as young as 3, guiding them from their first steps to more advanced techniques. Her students were awarded places at Interclub competitions and reached the esteemed National Finals.

The annual Serenade Ballet Academy Showcase invites audiences to sit back and enjoy the technique and talent of this collective group of dancers aged 5 years to Adult.

Predominantly a classical ballet academy, Serenade dance works feature a vibrant array of classical ballet pieces that explore whimsical and light moods to that of the evocative and dramatic. Repertoire pieces feature dancers from the Extension Training Program.

Contemporary pieces elicit expression, connection and an opportunity for audiences to witness art that moves, shapes that expand and expression that evokes passion. Select jazz numbers bring dynamic highlights of excitement to pepper this showcase with pizazz and passion.

This showcase is suitable for the whole family as well as those with a love of ballet, classical music and new contemporary and jazz dance works.
